A Winter of Snow

Yes, I'll take 3" of your best snow please 😂 That's a lot of snow. Love the quotes. I need to add a E Sitwell book or two to my library. They are beauties.

Lady Locust - Sending 3" (are you sure you can't take more?) of our best snow your way. It's snowing again right now along with a stiff wind. It's forecast to continue until tomorrow night. This might get interesting. ;o)

Oh my goodness! So much snow! Lovely pictures to look at but glad I'm not living in it :) You found wonderful quotes to go with them too!

Beautiful, just beautiful! I'll take all of it! We got a miserly 2 inches overnight into Sunday, but expecting freezing rain today..........I won't print how I feel about that!

We got plenty of your snow too, Mama Pea!! Our winter storms reminds me of those good ole fashioned prairie blizzards, with the gale winds, huge drifts etc. Looking out of my kitchen sink window, I can barely see over the top of an eight to nine foot, wind driven drift!! I love it even though my hubby and I were out moving snow for most of Sunday afternoon. 'Gotta have good equipment and a strong back!!-M

You guys have SNOW!! Wow.

betty - Isn't it fortunate some of us prefer to live where we have snow and cold (sometimes tooooo cold!) weather while others just don't want to deal with it? Otherwise, just think how smooshed we'd all be together!

Rosalea - Oh, freezing rain is at the bottom of the barrel as far as weather goes! So much trouble caused by all the ice it brings. I'll take shoveling over that any day. Stay safe, both on foot and on the road if you have to be there!

Anonymous M - Some of us have had more than our share of high winds this winter which definitely makes the situation less than desirable. The wind (well, all of nature's weather) can make a beautiful scene (snow falling) less than enjoyable at times! Take breaks when doing all that shoveling. :o)

Retired Knitter - I may post a picture of the drift almost totally covering our living room window. Never had that happen before!

Nancy - No more snow in sight for us for the next few days . . . whew! But temps not getting very warm. -3° first thing this morning and a high of 12° predicted for today. But, hey, it's still winter time!

Oh my word, that's a LOT of snow. I do like it and look forward to it every year, but honestly I don't think I'd want that much, not at my age. Younger, it would have been a great challenge. Hats off to you and your hubby for soldiering through. I hope you will soon see a little green peeking through.

Granny Sue - We are enjoying it. Need snowshoes to go anywhere in the woods, but that's half the fun (snowshoeing, I mean) in the winter. No problem getting around on the plowed surfaces and packed paths right in our immediate outside space though. I just came in from refilling our biggest birdseed feeder that hangs on the outside of the house right where we had a HUGE drift that completely covered the ladder I need to access the high hook it hangs on. I had to shovel out the ladder and rungs to climb up it. Needless to say, there won't be any little green shoots peeking through around here for quite a while yet!
