Doin' It the Easy Way

I mentioned a post or so ago that Papa Pea has been doing a reorganizing and rearranging of our poultry yard.

For years we've had an apple tree in that area that has been on its last legs.  (Last branches?  Last roots?)  At any rate, we decided it would be best to take it out, get it out of the way.

When D, our good neighbor, brought us a load of fill to even out an area that Papa Pea's been working on, they discussed the tree and D said he could come over with a piece of his equipment and pop it out, roots and all, if we wanted.

You bet!  And that he did.

For an older, smaller tree that was half dead, it had quite the root system and we shuddered to think how long it would have taken us to grub it out.

Up, up and away with the gnarly old thing.

D even took the tree away with him.  Can't beat that kind of help!

That's a nifty piece of equipment your neighbour has! What you could accomplish with that!!! Is it sad that I'd be more excited about that than a fancy car? -Jenn

Good neighbors are invaluable!

What, not even chopped up for firewood? Can't wait to see the sorted out poultry yard. Do you have to build defences against foxes?

We had a similar problem with an old Spanish Bayonet. We the guy terracing the orchard volunteered to dig it out with his littler jobber, we accepted. 1,2,3 and it was gone. We could all use abut ten friends like that.

Goatldi - Ummm . . . because we're not too bright? (Us, not you!) ;o)

Granny Sue - Thank you! Turned out so great!

Jenn - I know exactly what you mean! Cars are only for getting from one place to another. Nifty little, work-saving machines like D's can do so much and save so much WORK!

Michelle - We have said a thousand (or so) times how very, very fortunate we are to have D & M as our closest neighbors.

Tigger - D has a smoker that he loves to play around with (and makes good smoked meat!) and we've given him lots of apple tree branches/trimmings, etc. to use in the smoker.

We see many foxes in our area and do have to take special care to keep them out and away from the poultry. The only serious problem we've ever had (knock on wood) was from a pine marten digging under the chicken house and gaining access. Since then we've always put heavy wire underneath the flooring of any poultry pen or building.

wyomingheart - No real soaking rain. It's dripping out there right now this morning but the percentage of a good rain isn't good. I've been watering the garden almost every night. When I went out this morning (in the drippiness) to harvest some salad greens, I found a young plant cut off by what I know must have been a cut worm. I was digging around in the soil trying to find the blankety-blank bugger (didn't) and was surprised to see the dirt as dry as it was even though I've been watering. Sigh.

Great friend and neighbor! I am not in a position to even get mulch right now and it was starting to look so good and now the weeds are once again ahving their way! Stay safe and stay well!

Great neighbors! Make those people a pie! We've had to do that to just remove things that just we're not working but that was a massive root system holy cow

What a great neighbor!! Can't get any better than those lovely people and I'm sure you and Papa pea are good to them when they need something done.

Sam I Am - 'Tis the time of year when the weeds try to take over no matter what we do to stop them! I don't know how I'll remain bigger and stronger than they are once (soon, please!) we get adequate rainfall for the garden.

Nancy - Isn't it hard to take out something you've planted and thought it was a good idea or in the right spot or would actually grow and give you good food? Looking back on all our years, I bet I would be amazed at how many fruit trees, for instance, we've planted that were either destroyed by roaming wild critters (deer mostly) because of inadequate protection or didn't get enough sunlight or just died for some unknown reason. It's a challenge!

linnellnickerson - We've got such a neat relationship with D and M. Lots of trading back and forth of help, equipment, garden produce, other supplies of all kinds. And the great thing is that we always feel they do too much for us . . . and they feel we do too much for them!

Hello, I am Theresa Williams After being in relationship with Anderson for years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to my friend and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem. His email: {drogunduspellcaster@gmail.com} you can email him if you need his assistance in your relationship or any other Case.
