Grrrr!

Dear readers who comment on my blog posts, I am so frustrated.  When I hit the Reply button to try to reply to your comments, Blogger makes me wait, and wait, and wait an inordinate amount of time before the box in which to reply appears.  This happens each and every time!

THEN, after I do finally get the Reply box, type in my words and hit the Publish button, you can guess what happens.  It's another wait before my reply is published.

At this particular period in our one-man-down household, I've got limited time to spend on the computer so these frustrating delays are driving me bonkers.

So I'm asking for your understanding at my lack of replies to your appreciated comments on my posts.  This irritating situation has been going on for several weeks now, but I'm still hoping it will disappear soon and things will get back to normal.

I'm ready for that to happen for Gahlumpy (aka Papa Pea), too.  He'd like to get "back to normal" maybe even more than I!

For some reason the "reply" option under each comment has completely disappeared on my blog, so the only way I can respond is by leaving a comment with many paragraphs! Ah, it is a test; this is only a test. ;-)

I've noticed that too. But on other people's blogs because I have a new page coming up for comments and that has worked well. I'm also noticing the my blog "design" page is extremely slow...I hope it's not a foreshadowing of things to come!

If it saves you time, I doubt anyone will mind if you do a group reply. I certainly won't!

Same here! We’ll turn up the volume on our ESP receivers - don’t fret. Sounds like Papa Galumpy is making strides - literally and figuratively!

I've been having posting replies too.

This may be an extremely silly remark, but I wonder could it be weather related? I am having the same difficulty.

I having been having troubles with my responses to those on Blogger too. Sometimes I get halfway through typing and my reply disappears or I can't send it. Wonder if Blogger is giving up?

Not to worry about responding...you concentrate on the home front and healing up Papa Pea!!! :)

I've been having the same problem but I thought it was my ancient laptop which is slow with everything. Blogger had a tendency to be uncooperative sometimes; looks like this is one of them.

Having the same problem. When I comment its takes ages and sometime they just disappear.

Hi, All - I may try what tpals suggested and start doing "group" replies. From what I'm hearing, all of us seem to be having one problem or another with Blogger. I've also read that Blogger has been notified . . . and doesn't seem particularly interested in making or offering suggestions to solve the problems. Yikes, what are we to do??

I cannot comment often - blogger deletes most before I can 'publish' - after 3 tries I quit. Aggravating!

Kris - I know! So, so many of us are having trouble commenting. I don't know what the solution is, but I'm sure hoping Blogger is working at fixing the problem. It's a big irritation that makes reading and commenting on blogs less than a pleasant experience.

Oh Dear, why reply to comments here?

I always go to the blogs of those, who comment in mine... Read/comment in their blogs.

Recently started a new blog, and began to do the "reply right in my own comments section." And then, I thought..... "Why am I doing this, when I never did it before?"

So I stopped. I wrote a post, saying this change was to happen. And now I am much more comfortable... Doing as I always did.

Going to the blogs of my commenters, and following/reading/commenting in their blogs.

It saves time.

Plus!!! No one has to return, to my blog... To see if I replied there. After all, who has time to visit a blog _twice_? Once to read/comment. And another time, to read a reply?

Perhaps you might consider this...

wisps of words - I totally understand your reasoning in choosing to go this route. I'm going to think about it . . . but it may be hard to teach this old dog new tricks! ;o)
