The Best Laid Plans of Mice and Mama Pea

Apologies to all of you who are eager to get crocheting on your rag rugs. I had very good intentions of getting the next installment of our tutorial up yesterday, but life has conspired against me and I'm not going to be able to get it posted for perhaps a day or so. (But I'll do my best to get it up asap.)

What's the saying that goes something to the effect that "life" is what happens when you're making plans? No, nuthin' bad going on here, just lots of little things that need to be taken care of . . . and that are seeming to take more time and eat up the days faster than you think they ever should.

But have no fear, I promise we'll get back on the rug making wagon just as soon as possible.

In the meantime, go plan your garden. Despite the snow, sleet, and ice that fell on us here overnight, that time will be here before we know it!

no fair ,you got snow, where we we---jk I'm almost settled to the fact that there is no snow, might as well get a early spring! but not so fast ,I know MN. weather ,something out there will knock our socks off when we aren't even looking-hope you get all those little things taken care of and if one of them is feeling low or ill,you better take care of your self.I heard a report the other day that if the o health plan takes effect-if you are 70 and older and have to go to the er ,say with maybe a brain bleed, you will be outta luck -you will not only be called a unit you will be given a peace plan [ death squad] to you b-no calls to nero-surgeons in the middle of the night. this being ,if you have state ins. this info came from a nero-surgeon

Hi Mama Pea ~ good luck taking care of your 'life' things. It seems the older I get, the more to take care of to the point it is some times hard to 'plan' my days.

By the way, have you thought about joining 'Ravelry' (it's free) and linking your rag rug there? I bet there's a lot of folks through ravelry who would love to see that! Just a thought.

Have a good day! Oh, we're supposed to hit @70 degrees here in SC today....so strange to think you've got snow, sleet and ice....!

Here too, lots of little things... but they need attention before they become one big overwhelming list!

judy - Not much snow . . . looks like only about half an inch. I suppose the freezing rain with it beat it down some.

Lisa - Thanks for suggesting "Ravelry." I've seen so many references to it but I've kept myself from even checking it out. It's so hard to not spending too much time on the computer. I love my blogging and reading other blogs but it has a way of eating into the time I need to spend on other things. I don't even do Facebook which I know makes me a little strange!

Erin - Boy, if that isn't the truth! If you can just stay on top of everything and nip it in the bud!! Good luck to both of us!

Very true Mama Pea. Better to have the little things pop up now than into Spring when you have 1000 things to do.

Jane - It's always amazing to me that I can be so busy with days filled to the brim during the winter . . . when I don't have the whole outside world to take care of as I do in the summer. Do we find things to fill the time when we have more time? I'm sure not conscious of having spare time to fill with dreamed up projects! Oh well. Life is not boring nor do the days drag by. For that I'm grateful!

As my kids were growing up I used to tell them to make plans but always remember that life happened and those plans might need altering. I still do that but the plans are pretty loose ones and can be changes or even ignored.

I am still interested in the rug project.

gld - Hang on! The rug project WILL proceed!

Stephanie - Yeah . . . especially for a person like me who likes to have all her ducks in a row and not have "surprises!" ;o]

All those little things really add up, don't they? Just keep plugging along!

As for apologizing for a delay in the rug tutorial....I'm kind'a relieved as I have YET to even get the crochet hook, let alone start making strips of cloth!

Carolyn Renee - Well, thanks, but don't forget, you can always look up the tutorial when you're ready. No pressure. I just didn't want to be holding anybody back when I said I'd get going on the next step. :o]

No big rush on the rug tute. Just do what you need to do and get back to us when you can. Hey, stop calling me a "little strange" just because I don't do facebook. jk Don't ever intend to join, either. Perhaps we need to form a club. Oh never mind. That would not work because there would probably only be two members.

Karen L. - Heck, we'll just call it a very exclusive club!

Just got the second rug tutorial up. (Puff-puff!) Let me know what you think.
