Dear Blogging Friends,
For those of you who know my daughter, if you could go to her blog site,
The Tales of Chicken Mama, Lady Homesteader, and leave her a note, she could use a little love and support today.
Early this morning, she let her beloved little cat, Annie Blue, outside where she was immediately attacked and killed by a fisher (we think it was) right in front of her eyes.
Yes, Annie Blue was only an animal but we do get attached to our pets and they become an integral part of our families.
Chicken Mama is feeling pretty down right now, needless to say, and I know she would appreciate knowing you're thinking of her.

About Me
I live with my husband on a small homestead in Northern Minnesota. Our daughter currently lives in a small cabin in the woods not too far from us.
Our place is located outside a small town and a two and a half hour's drive from the nearest big city. Trips to the city are infrequent, well-planned, and exhausting!
We currently raise chickens and have hives of honey bees. Raising some of our meat and most of our fruits and vegetables is a priority for us; so, along with our birds for meat and eggs, we have fruit trees, berry patches and a huge vegetable garden.
Quilting is my passion, and I could happily spend each day in my quilt studio if I weren't happily spending each day out in the garden. Good thing we have winters up here; Mother Nature helps keep my life balanced.

Kelly, Kelli and Jane - Thank you so much for your kind words. Annie Blue had been a very special cat to Chicken Mama from the time she got her at 8 weeks of age.
