The Compost Pile Was Revolted

Guess who found three huge cucumbers that had been picked from the garden and stored in the crisper drawer in the spare refrigerator? Stored there, oh, about three months ago. Guess who found them today?

Be glad I'm showing you the picture of the crisper drawer drying on the table AFTER it had been emptied, scraped, scrubbed, sand blasted, and disinfected rather than before. Be very glad.

Did the same thing with some bell peppers recently! Yes, disgusting.

Hi, Jo - Yeah, I chopped them up and threw them on our salads. (Tee-hee.)

Sue - The state the cucumbers were in when they hit the compost pile, the worms wouldn't have had much to do!

Hey, Vivian - Ooooh, ya! Bell peppers can get REAL smooshy-gooshy!

Found a container...shoved in the back of the fridge....of okra....soaking in milk....and I'm not going to tell you how long it was there.

Oops! I hate it when that happens!

Ruthie - ESPECIALLY when we had been savoring each and every one of the last ones I had picked from the garden. Wonder why I stopped thinking about them before we ate those last three? (Severe brain fade, I guess.)
