Brain Over-Load or Balmy?
Didja ever feel like you really might be losing your marbles? Like you're truly starting the slide down the slippery slope? Like your brain can no longer maintain its tenuous grasp on reality? It's either that or somebody is trying to gaslight me. I have lost an important file. I remember making the file just a day or so ago. Here at my desk. I remember putting the papers in the file folder. I do not keep a messy desk. I don't know where I could have put it. It's not where it should be. I have looked everywhere. It is driving me mad.

Did you find that file yet??
I've done that before too and then I usually find it days later--stuck in a pile of magazines or with some knitting patterns in the laundry room--I'm SURE I wasn't the one who put it there! ;-)
Nope, no appearance of the file folder yet. But we've all done something like this before. And I probably will again! It's just disturbing to know that one can unconsciously file something (pun intended!) in the totally wrong spot (milk on a pantry shelf?) and be oblivious of the fact that you did it!! Oh, well, if that's my WORST problem . . . :o)
I took my master calendar for 2008 down around Christmas so I could transfer all the anniversary/birthday dates to the 2009 calendar. When I finally got around to doing that on Jan. 2nd, I couldn't find that 2008 calendar anywhere. I couldn't imagine I had thrown it away, but figured that's what I must have done (in a forgetful moment--like all those store receipts I've thrown that I should have saved for rebates). Anyway, when I pulled out my October Audubon magazine to finish reading last night, there was my 2008 calendar--marking the page in my magazine!
Oh, Ruthie, Ruthie, what are we going to do with us? I did EXACTLY the same thing a couple of years ago! 'Cept I found my calendar marking the page in an issue of Play Girl magazine. (JUST KIDDING!) :O)
