Hissy-Fit Weather

Seems like waiting for the soil to dry out to dig our potatoes is a lost cause now, so we took advantage of no rain for a short period today to go out into the garden to harvest them. Temp is still in the low 50s. Almost as soon as we set up operations, the wind started blowing and, yep, sure 'nuf, the rains started again. Oh, well, we got half a row done.

what you've got so far are some pretty good looking potatoes, though!

The picture is of the first hill we unearthed and both Roy and I got a chuckle out of how the image printed. I said the hole looks about 2' deep and he said the potatoes look pretty puny! Actually, most of them we got yesterday were about 4-5" long which ain't bad! Wish us luck on getting the rest dug today.
