I've nagged her to get back into blogging for a long time, but to no avail. (Apparently mothers don't always give the best advice -- who knew?)
I'd all but given up on her finding the time and impetus to do so.
Therefore, I was so happy to see her back in the writing saddle when I opened my computer this morning.
If you find time during these last few days before the holiday season, go take a peek:
She's a darn good writer! (Ask her about the couple as-of-yet unpublished books she has in her files. Hee-hee.)
She knew just what to give her mama for Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI went! I re-welcomed her! I asked her to join the Good Fight! To keep Blogging alive!
ReplyDeleteAnd to Fight against the Evil Monster of *daily-mini-blogging* on (ugh-spit-barf-whimper) INSTAGRAM!!!!
With such a heart-rendering plea, how can she not keep it up?!?

MICHELLE: Yes! What a perfect comment! She knew what to give her Mama, for Christmas! And it doesn't even have to be wrapped and put under a tree!!!!

Glad to hear she was inspired to blog again! Mama Pea, I can see that you're thrilled. Here's hoping she keeps it up!
ReplyDeleteJust read your daughter's Blog. I liked it. Wished she'd do more. I can see why your so proud of her! She's a very good daughter and person. xo
ReplyDeleteMichelle - Yes, and she didn't even have to wrap it! :o)
ReplyDeletewisps of words - It's not that she'd have a hard time figuring out what to write as posts, but she works such long days that when she gets home at night, she's kinda lost her ooompf and needs to just relax and recharge for the next day. But I'm going to keep nudging her to post when she can.
Leigh - I hope so, too!
Lynne - How nice of you to say so. She's had some big disappointments and hard knocks to contend with in her adult life, but she's done a great job of bouncing back and making the very best of it. Yep, she is a very good daughter and person, you've got that right!
The thing about blogging, if you walk away it's hard starting again. WTG Lil Pea. Keep at it. Just post once a week for a while. Pick a day and stick to it. Then as more and more followers build post twice a week or more.
ReplyDeleteI read your daughter's blog and can see the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Persistence.
ReplyDeleteCockeyed Jo - I agree that when you "take a break" from blogging, it certainly is harder to get back at it. But once a routine is established, such as you suggested, it gets easier. I'm hoping she can do that.
ReplyDeletePhil - Boink! (That's the sound of the apple falling from the tree.) ;o)

ReplyDeleteI thought I was seeing things when her blog post popped up on my list! Hooray!
ReplyDeleteSusan - HA! You're not the only one! Truly, for about five seconds there I was perplexed trying to figure out just whose post it was. Then when it dawned on me, I nearly went into shock . . . and then was pleasantly surprised! What can we do to keep her posting now that she's back in the saddle . . . or at least has her foot in the stirrups?
