Goatldi - Oh, padiddle-poo! (Now I must go look up just what "Grande Dame" means.)

ReplyDeleteIt's not the "holiday season" or the "winter celebration", or
ReplyDeleteany other time of gift giving, or eating out of our abundance. It's supposed to be about the birth of Jesus Christ and the celebration of His coming among us and ultimately for His laying down of His Life for us. Why does no one ever mention that anymore? Without this focus of what it really is all about.....Life has no meaning or purpose as much as we would like to think it does. Contemplate this Mama and Papa Pea is my hope/prayer for you both and your family.
Merry Christmas! ❤️

Merry christmas to you and your family. May it be calm and bright!
ReplyDeleteWell said, dear Mama Pea! I hope your Christmas was everything you wanted and I am looking forward to a fresh new year - full of promise and possibilities! xo

DEAR ANONYMOUS... It may come as a surprise to you, but not all peoples, celebrate this Time of Year, as you do.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a lovely Christmas...

Wendy - Thank you from the Family Pea! :o)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous - I do understand where you are coming from and I do think this time of being "politically correct" has been taken to extremes and is at most times unnecessary and bordering on the ridiculous. The children in our local schools no longer participate in an annual Christmas program with Christmas carols included but rather have a Winter Concert with "Jingle Bells" being the only recognizable "holiday" music. At the same time, there certainly are many people who do not celebrate these end of the year holidays at all or who have differing beliefs from our own. I would like to think we are all still able to have our own beliefs without being labeled "wrong" by others or to have to be vocal and conform, in written word or otherwise. Some folks feel their beliefs on some topics are private, others do not. I respect both sides.
Katie C. - I hope you have a lovely celebratory day yesterday!
Elizabeth - And I always enjoy and appreciate you commenting! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteSam I Am - The same to you!
Theresa Y - Sending best wishes for a pleasant, happy, holiday season to you, too.
Susan - Thanks, Sweezie! With you to count as a friend, I and ALL of your other readers will benefit in the new year from your friendship, upbeat personality and wicked writing wit. (Try saying that fast three times.)
wisps of words - Do you know, it was one of the nicest we've had in a long time. Just right for our family. Hope yours was, too!
Thank You Mama Pea ! I so enjoy reading your comings and going. xo
ReplyDeleteLynne - How very nice of you to say and that really touches my heart! Thank you.
