Can't say I heard the wind during the night. I was fairly comatose in my snoring/snuffling/gurgling head-congested sleep. Besides that, our bedroom is at the end of the house protected from the winds. Not so for the man currently sleeping in my quilt room. He did start out sleeping with me but in the wee hours, my "in-the-midst-of-a-heart-attack" type breathing got through to him and he headed for more peaceful grounds. Unfortunately, then the sounds keeping him awake were the wailing winds.
This morning our temp has dropped to 4 degrees, we have lovely, bright sunshine, but the winds continue to howl. Gadzooks, I wonder what the wind chill factor is?
Here's
Shoveling the deck.
Clearing the path to the bird feeder.
He made it! Now hang on to the roof while filling it.
Total snow accumulation probably wasn't more than 3" but Mother Nature is doing a good job of rearranging it to her liking this morning.
Don't think I'd let that guy clear off MY deck! Eeek! 'Course, if he was offering to do it for free . . . .
ReplyDeleteChicken Mama - Yeah, I guess he did look pretty scary! Good thing there were no small children around.
ReplyDeleteI'm still getting used to seeing white ground again. It never seems quite as special in February as it did the first part of December....
ReplyDeleteBut the cardinals were singing when I got home from work this afternoon, so obviously they're optimistic about spring!
Ruthie - That's what you get for living in the tropical part of Minnesota. Bare ground before winter's over and you're fooled into thinking spring can't be far away. Ha!
