A Busy Week, To Say the Least

The beginning of this week started off with having three delightful little munchkins come to visit.

The nearly five year old and her nearly year old twin brother and sister who Chicken Mama cares for spent the day with us on Monday.

I now know for sure that I'm not smart enough to stay ahead of Little Big Sister.  She's sweet and funny besides being very bright, and loves to help Papa Pea do chores.  When she found out he was going to feed the bees, she asked if she could go with.

Getting into her "bee suit."  Note the new "work" gloves very recently purchased for her by her mom and dad.

Off they go to the bee yard.

Getting her first up close and personal look at honey bees.  This was a very brave thing to do for a little gal who used to be afraid of house flies on the window sill.

Back in the house and doing a little artistic creating with colored pencils.  This child has the most beautiful, naturally streaked hair I've ever seen . . . hair coloring that most of us gals would pay big bucks to obtain!

Lunch time for the twins.  Little Man being his usual eager eater.

Little Lady is no slouch in the eating department either.  They both have healthy appetites.

Baby girl demonstrating it's important to stay hydrated!

Little Man loves to play with our French door between the kitchen and living room.  He also thinks it's fun to smoosh his little face up against the glass panes.

Unfortunately, this is what happens when you put your little foot under the same French door and then pull it toward you.

But in less than 60 seconds and some lovin' from Chicken Mama, it's all better!

I think I've recovered from the activities on Monday, but Tuesday and Wednesday remained jam-packed also.  Busy, busy, busy but not nearly as much fun as Monday!

You mean Chicken Mama looks after three kids under 5? Wow! She must be one super nanny. Such cute kids.

Sparkless - I'm not saying this just because she's my daughter (honest!), but she is the most natural, nurturing, loving mother-type person I have ever seen. She handles any and all children with such ease and enjoyment. (It was heartbreaking when she found out she was unable to have children of her own.)

Mama Pea,

Your Grand Babies are adorable. I love your Grand Daughters natural hair color.

And it's always good to have babies who enjoy eating and not throwing food or fighting because they don't want to eat what's being served.

It looks like you have yourself a new bee keeper with the little one there :-)

Oh my. So adorable. I need to get to the big city and visit my growing nephew. They grow so fast.

Sandy - Wish that these three were my grandchildren but they are not. My daughter is a nanny (actually more than that because their parents are the most special friends of hers) for the adorable little tots. Happily, we get to see a bit of them which is always enjoyable.

Kristina - You can say that again . . . it's unbelievable how fast they pass from one stage to another!

Slight clarification: Big Sister is going to be FIVE (not four)! :)

Chicken Mama - I know that. You know that. We all know that. I shall go change it in the body of the blog right now.

How did I miss this post??? It is so obvious that Papa Pea was a wonderful teacher - you can feel his patient teachings over the internet. And thank you (ahem) for giving me a good look at those adorable noggins.... :)

Susan - Chicken Mama said she would send you actual measurements of the little punkins heads . . . but I'll bet she hasn't found time to do it?? She's been pretty busy lately, needless to say. Maybe I'll whip out my cloth tape measure the next time they are here . . . but that may be too late for you I realize. We'll see . . .

What an utterly adorable, loving post. In every photo your reader can feel the love and kind attention those sweet children are receiving from you and your family. Sweet, sweet, sweet.

Lisa - The three little babes are doing remarkably well. They are with our daughter during the day and their auntie at night and most weekends. Plus, there are so many people who love and adore them including, most of all, their parents.
