My Resolutions

~ Make a complete, detailed (legible) garden plan by the end of January.

~ Keep tucked away this year's good memories, toss into the fire this year's bad memories.

~ Bring new life (please!) into my cooking repertoire.

~ Go through old papers and destroy the evidence most of them.

~ Redecorate Decorate our bedroom.

~ Lose the extra weight that has taken up residence on my hips and tummy.

~ Step out of the box, get out of my rut and be spontaneous.

~ Take downhill ski lessons.  (How's our medical insurance?)

~ Ban potato chips from my life.

~ Stop procrastinating on jobs I don't want to do.

~ Do stretching exercises regularly so I can pick something up off the floor without looking like a 95 year old crone.

~ Start wearing nail polish again.  And shaving my legs more often.

OH, WAIT!

That was last year's list!  Oh well, maybe I'll be more effective at carrying it out this year.  After all, if every day is a new beginning, certainly a new year is all the moreso.

Best wishes to all you wonderful people for a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious New Year!  Let's do it!

My resolution is to not make resolutions, uh oh I think I just made one which was not to make one, it makes my head hurt thinking about it.

Sue - With pals like you, how can I miss having the best year ever? (But if you REALLY knew the real me, you wouldn't like me. A direct quote from Paranoia 101. Heeheeeheee.)

Sunnybrook Farm - I'm with you on that one. I don't know that making New Year's resolutions ever does much good . . . except to make us momentarily introspective . . . which ain't necessarily a bad thing.

Happy New Year! I don't do resolutions per se, but do set personal goals. I also allow that sometimes I don't get there, but life goes on! I'd recommend Treat Your Own Back by Robin McKenzie. Both my Chiro and PT person liked the book. It's on amazon and cheap ($7.00?). Good back stretches!!! Easy and fast...

You'll be very successful with your resolutions.

I"m not making any resolutions until Jan 2nd. Now that list is a big one! I'm sure you made a dent in it last year and can chip it down farther this year. If not there is always next year. LOL!
Happy New Year Mama and Papa Pea. May the new year bring all sorts of wonderful surprises.

Sandy - I'll be successful with my resolutions? I wish the same for you and yours. (Now get busy and make them!) Happy New Year!

Kristina - I like your plan for the day! I'll be right there. (Should I bring my own nail polish?)

Happy New Year!

Tombstone Livestock - Would you please tell my family you said that?

Happy New Year!

Sparkless - Why not 'til January 2nd? Too much celebrating going on at your house today and tomorrow? I just told my husband I'm spending the day on the couch tomorrow . . . reading, knitting, watching a DVD or two. Wa-HOO! You can tell it will be pretty wild around here.

Thanks you for the lovely wishes. Happy New Year to you, too!

I find that holidays are not conductive to good reasoning so I'll wait a bit and make some plans. My plans/resolutions will evolve over the whole month of January.
I'm on my own for New Years. The husband has to work early New Years day so he'll be in bed early and the kids are both going out. I'll stay up till 12am and kiss the cat and go to bed. Yup, tons of celebrating. LOL!

Sparkless - I love your quirky sense of humor you let peek through now and then! If I lived near you, I'd come over and try to stay up with you. (Might even kiss the cat before going home.) You be thinking about those plans/resolutions in the peace and quiet by yourself!

Last years list...HA! Ya got me. I have to agree with the shaving of the legs. I just don't get down that way too much anymore...@;)

Pure plagiarism! Those are (almost) my resolutions - five years running! Maybe we can both reach our goals this year...hmmm? Best wishes to you and the family for a wonderful new year.

Tami - The good thing is that as we age, the hair on our legs does get a wee bit more sparse, but can still grow to a length of 1/2" or so if left to its own devices! Usually in the winter, I just let it go and call it insulation. (TMI?)

Susan - Thanks for thel wishes. Back at cha! I seriously think I've put "lose weight" on my New Year's resolution list for the past 75 years. Maybe longer. ;o}

Thanks, Stephanie! I know YOUR New Year is going to be fantabulous. Even though moving right smack dab at holiday time had to be very disruptive, you now have the remainder of the winter months to get the new house organized and plan your garden! I see great things happening around your place this spring/summer. Eager to follow it all!

Yes, let's do it!

Ha! You got me with this list as well. Hehe I shave my legs every spring weather they need it or not the first time we fire up the lawn mower LOL! Wishing you and Papa Pea all things wonderful in the new year....but don't do to much more as you already wear me out reading your posts!
