The past two days have been gray, wet and foggy which has done nothing to enhance our colorless November scenery.
Hubby and I were sitting at the kitchen table having brunch this morning and looking out at the stark and bare trees at the edge of the woods to our south.
We commented that this time of year between the brilliant colors of autumn and the sparkling blanket of winter's snow is certainly dreary and drab.
Our Sunday was winding down toward dusk when Papa Pea called to me, "You've got to come see this sunset!"
I grabbed my camera and . . . WOW!
This is what we saw, straight out of the camera. Not much drab and dingy in that scene, is there?

Glorious!
We're in the midst of some violent storms. I hope it passes quickly!
Beautiful! I just absolutely love a wonderful sunset.
Beautiful! Could be you are in for a sunny day tomorrow.
Absolutely gorgeous! I'm glad your camera was close by.
We've been having some amazing sunsets here in southern california too! Great picture.
Great picture
Beautiful colors.
Very wonderful ending to any day! Rhiannon comes in the house yelling "Pink Sky!!" when the sunset (or what we can see of it over the hills) looks like that.
Stunningly beautiful sky! You and your camera did a fantastic job of capturing the beauty.
Sue - Hoping your stormy weather is gone now . . . and you didn't sustain any damage! "The Gales of November," eh?
DFW - November always seems to bring us our most spectacular sunsets! Maybe to make up for the drab landscape?
Sparkless - The weather forecast said we'd have a sunny day today . . . but so far, cloudy and lazy little snowflakes coming down.
Constance - I knew by the excitement in my husband's voice, I should grab my camera. And it was worth it!
Beth - The "wow" factor was added to by how fast the clouds were moving. There must have been some strong winds way up there in the atmosphere.
Thanks, TL!
Kristina - That they were!
Carolyn - Have you taught her "Red sky in morning, sailors take warming; red sky at night, sailor's delight" yet?
Lisa - Thank you! I wouldn't have noticed it if hubby hadn't alerted me to it.
Spectacular sunset!!!
Oh my gosh! That is the most beautiful sunset! Nature is so amazing.
Sandy - We just had another pretty one tonight, but not quite as colorful.
Susan - Even though humans try to duplicate the colors in nature, we can never do quite as well!
That is a Wow. Glad you got to see it!
wow ,i want to live there and now that i think about it ,my sister in Brainerd keeps reminding me"ypu could have had this 9 country living )
Stunning! We are getting some similar sunrises and sunsets here on the farm, and it always takes my breath away!

LindaCO - Hubby's office is upstairs and he faces west when sitting at his desk so he often sees purdy sunsets!
judy - You'll have to make the effort to get out and see the sunsets by you! I'll bet you could see some spectacular ones, too.
Stephanie - Because of heavy woods to our east, we don't see any sunrises from our property here. As gorgeous as sunsets are, I'm a morning person and would enjoy the sunrises more!
