Anyone Need Some New Potholders?

If you're in the market for a couple of new potholders for spring, you may have come to the right place.

Front Side

I'd like to give away these potholders I made from some of the fabric I got as a surprise package in the mail last week.

Back Side

Just leave a comment in the comment section of this post and I'll put your name in a hat for a chance to receive them.

This is Tuesday morning so I'll pick a winner Thursday night about the time I shut down my computer (9 p.m.) and post the winner Friday morning.

Don't be shy . . . leave a comment!

Those are super cute but don't put my name in - your awesome potholder gifts have kept me from making my own LOL.... I WILL make some this year!

Those are absolutely adorable!

How cute! Love the "bacon" holder. I've recently learned to make a nice crocheted potholder but it sure doesn't look as nice as that!

The Weekend Homesteader - You're in!

Mama Pea said...

Kelly Ann - Thanks! Your name is in the hat.

Mama Pea said...

Erin - Okay, Friend! The pressure is now on for you to show us the ones you've made!!

Mama Pea said...

Garland Girl - Thank you! Got your name in the hat.

Mama Pea said...

SciFiChick - These that I make have proved to be very "sturdy" and reliable. Plus they're washable (which is a requirement for my kitchen!) so I think you would like them.

Wow good job with those scraps of fabric, that was quick.

But leave my name out for the drawing.

ME! ME! ME! .... um, please. :)

Mama Pea said...

Kelly - Thanks! I'm entering your name for the drawing.

Mama Pea said...

sweetiesuzy - I think some new potholders are something we all need . . . more frequently than we get them!

Mama Pea said...

Katidids - Good toss . . . it's in the hat!

Mama Pea said...

Tombstone Livestock - Glad you think I did right by those fabrics of yours! The feed sack replica fabrics were PERFECT for potholders.

Mama Pea said...

Susan - Okay! Okay! Okay! You're welcome. :o)

Please enter me in the contest. I would enjoy something new in my kitchen. I was telling P after lunch---in thirty years, I have had three new refrigerators, three new dishwashers, countless microwaves, and the same gold stove. It just will not wear out! Is that a good thing?

Happy Spring Greetings. I wanted to let you know about a friend of mine who is an amazing quilter and she has come up with doing quilted cards. www.onthetrailcreations.com is her website. I don't know if it has a gallery of her other work but when I finally saw her site I thought of you. Have a great day!

I would love to win these adorable potholders! You do such nice work!

Put my name in the hat too please.

Qwaynt said...

i love the pair you made for me last year. can always use more

Mama Pea said...

It's A Long Drag - Wow! She really has some talent, doesn't she? When you imagine how small a palette she's working on . . . well, I think artistry like that might drive me bonkers! Her work is truly beautiful. Thanks for sharing her art.

Mama Pea said...

Melissa - Thank you very much!

Mama Pea said...

Dawn from Georgia - It's in!

Mama Pea said...

Qwaynt - You're in, too!

They are so sweet! And farmy! I just made that word up LOL I've been going to make some for weeks now. Mine are so grungy but kids clothes take priority. If I won yours I could keep sewing kids clothes and not feel guilty! LOL Hope I win :-) You are so generous!

Mama Pea said...

Carol - Your name is in the hat! And you may be in luck with your good, ol' gold stove. Someone was just telling me last week that the "newest" color for kitchen appliances is . . . wait for it . . . GOLD!

Mama Pea said...

Freedom Acres Farm - Yes, you do need to keep sewing clothes for your kids! Your name is in the hat, too.

Wendy said...

These are wonderful. I would love to win these.

Hey MP, I'm sort of back but I feel a whole lot more like your daughter does due to an ongoing move. Ugh! Feels like it will never be over! Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I tried your Cranberry/Almond Cake last week and it was definitely yummy. I will be making that one again. Nice and moist and tangy. Wished I had the pot holders you made when I took that cake out of the oven. Ha!

Mama Pea said...

Wendy - Okay, I'll put you in the drawing, too!

Mama Pea said...

TinaH - Yes, I really liked the pigs, too. "Hog wash!" Where did that saying come from do you suppose?

Mama Pea said...

Leigh - No goats, but feed sack replicas so that's close enough for most of us! Your name is in.

Mama Pea said...

Karen L. - Good to hear from you! And glad you liked the cake. Yep, a nice set of new potholders would have gone with the cake very well. Your name is in the hat.

Unknown said...

So pretty and down home; love the pot holders!

Little Fudd said...

These would work great in my country kitchen. They work with my curtains, My towels, my rugs, and my little cow milk pitcher. Did I say how great these would look in my kitchen. Just checking.

Jenyfer Matthews said...

You would be appalled if you saw how pathetic my current potholders are, lol, so yes - please put my name in the hat :)

Mama Pea said...

Simply Scaife Family - Thank you! You're in the drawing hat.

Mama Pea said...

Little Fudd - (This is my crazy, good cook brother-in-law, Everyone. Oops, it will be embarrassing if HIS name is drawn. But I promise to keep it honest.)

I think you've set a new goal, Fudd . . . the winner has to come here to pick them up!!

Mama Pea said...

Nancy - It's so good to know they would go to a good home. (Hee-hee.)

Mama Pea said...

Michelle - Glad I chose a pattern that would go well in your kitchen! :o)

Mama Pea said...

Jen - Are grungy potholders the sign of a good cook? If so, many of us qualify!!

Potholders: They do so much, but are so under appreciated. Ah, such is life! ;o)

Pioneer Woman at Heart said...

Cute! I don't need anymore, but those would make nice gifts too.

Nikki said...

These are beautiful! :)

Anonymous said...

Me please :)

Mama Pea said...

Kristina - They are nice gifts . . . I use them as hostess or "thank you" gifts all the time. I'm putting your name in the hat.

Mama Pea said...

Nikki - Thanks! You're added to the drawing!

Mama Pea said...

Stephanie - Okay, you're welcome! :o)

Lisa B said...

Please pick me. I need potholders. Mine are brown and scorched. I don't know how that happens ;/. I love the cute fabrics. If I ever get in my sewing room I could sew a few but you know how that goes MamaPea.

Mama Pea said...

Lisa - How DO those potholders get so brown and scorched?? I guess they're just doing what they're meant to do. Good reason for us all to change them more often than we do. Your name is in the hat!

Lisa said...

If it's not too late, can I add my hat to the pile too? Pretty please??!!

Lisa said...

Ummmmm, or is that.... 'can you add my name to the hat'? Am I having a 'senior moment?!!!

Mama Pea said...

Lisa - Hahaha! No you're not too late. I said I'd close off the comments about 9 p.m. tonight when I shut off my computer so you've squeaked in under the wire. And if you wanna add your hat to the pile, feel free to do so. (Hee-hee.)
