Thought you'd all like an update on our lovely spring weather.
It's now 2:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon and it's snowing like gangbusters. The temp is 32.9 degrees so you can imagine how wet the snow is. Great for making a snowman . . . or maybe a whole snowman family.
My little camera refuses to capture just how heavily the snow is falling, but you can see it's mounting up.
I think we have a total of about four or five inches now, but it's not over yet.
My raised garden beds and the paths between that were completely free of snow yesterday . . . ? They're going under again!
It sure is pretty though.
P.S. Sweezie, did you send all this our way??

Beautiful...glad it's at your home!
I really love snow, but this time of year, I don't know many who do--But it is pretty, and I hope spring finds you soon!!
I just read your post out loud to SM and he shook his head and said "God Bless those people."
Sorry to say we're blue skies and 70...
Bwaa Haa ha
Right now I would trade you my 78 degrees sunshine and dry pasture and rattlesnake for your snow. Oh and a few ticks as well. Look on the bright side of that snow.
And by the way kind lady ..... thank you ever so much for my package, I did not expect that, I will have to check my stash and see what else I can send to you .... I am sure you can make better use to some of it than me, and you won't have to send me anything in return.
I layed out with my daughter today and it was too hot to lay there. Sunny and 77 here in Oklahoma! I can't imagine snow right now Wow!!!
It's winter's last gasp! Enjoy it cause it won't last long.
Spring is sure struggling to show itself, isn't it? Two days ago we had what someone here called "grapple". I had never heard that term before but maybe it was accurate for what we had which was rain, then little tiny hail, frozen rain, snow, more rain and frozen stuff, etc. What a strange April day in north central NC!!! Today it is in the high 60's and sunny. I think we may have finally turned the corner. Hope you have too.
It was nice here today, but temps will dip and there's a chance of snow for Monday. On the up side, I got my compost piles organized! Hope it warms up soon.
Oh no. I was kind'a hoping that the title of this post was a joke, but alas.....
Oh no :/ So much for spring huh?
Quilter Kathy - It IS beautiful! I would say it won't last long but hubby just told me he checked the long-term forecast and it looks like we've got a COLD week coming up!
Kim - For the past two years we've had unusual warm spells in March. This year, I think we're back to more normal weather so this snow shouldn't be a shock to us. Beside that, we still need the moisture so it's all good.
Tami - Isn't it a good thing there are crazy people who like living in Minnesota? Think how crowded your state would be (blue skies and 70 - Bah!) if we all moved there?!
Thanks to SM for his blessing. All of us in our Sorels this morning appreciate it! ;o)
Tombstone Livestock - No deal, my friend! But I do wish I could send you the moisture.
Good to hear the little package arrived. YOU are the kind lady!!
Kelly - I know! Can you believe we all live in the same country?? (Oh, warm sun on skin would feel so good right now.)
Sparkless - Ha! No longer than this whole next week according to the forecast! The weather sure does keep things interesting.
Karen L. - Grapple, eh? I'll take snow any day over anything involving ICE! We left northern Illinois to get away from ice in the winter time. I have to admit, this time of year, sun and the high 60s sounds pretty good!
LindaCO - If you get the snow on Monday, it will be super-good for your compost piles! Spring will arrive here . . . it's just so much slower than many other places! And hits more speed bumps on the way.
Neela Rufus - Thank you!
Carolyn - Send Rhiannon . . . the playing-in-the-snow possibilities today are endless!
Stephanie - Haha! This IS spring in northern Minnesota. Aren't you glad you didn't move HERE?!?
Get out some knitting and enjoy watching it... hopefully it will be the last big hurrah for winter!
Erin - It was a beautiful day as long as you could be inside. Unfortunately, Papa Pea was driving home from the big city and had a white-knuckled time of it. Cars and trucks (bad accident between a tanker truck and small car) in the ditch all over. But he made it home safe and for that we were both very thankful.
