A Book That May Cause You To Make Changes

The Safe Shopper's Bible is a hefty tome that is interesting to read and laid out in a format that makes it easy to look up the safety (or harmfulness) of thousands of products, some of which we use on a daily basis.

There are sections on household products, cosmetics and personal care products, and foods and beverages.  Some of the information may surprise you.  It opened my eyes to the harmful ingredients in many commercially manufactured products, and caused me to make changes in  some items I purchased and brought into our home.

Many of us have a desire to use products that are more natural and less damaging to our bodies and our environment.  The info in this book can provide a guide for you.

Be the first to comment that you'd like to receive this book, and I'll be glad to send it to you.

Hope you're all having a good weekend!

This book sounds awesome! I have a book I think would be similar to it called "Ecoholic" but I am sure that anything titled "Bible" will be more comprehensive. I am going to look into it!

Melanie - The copyright on it is 1995 so it's not new on the market, but most of the info in it is still very relevant. We've always been interested in staying as healthy as possible (and, of course, concerned about the toxins becoming so prevalent on our plant) and came across it several years ago.

Interested in receiving it??

Tiny Gardener - I think you'd find it really, really interesting. Lots of "stuff" out there (that manufacturers don't want us to know about) that is carcinogenic. How scary is that?

I imagine there are some eye openers in that book. I enjoy looking thru those books. I don't run across them that often tho.
When I do buy one, it is usual nature's remedies to fix or heal something. :)

Foxy Lady - Oh, yeah, nature's remedies . . . we have lost so much over the years regarding natural remedies that we could be using rather than supporting the large drug companies. Why haven't we hung on to that knowledge? Why wasn't it passed down through the generations to a larger extent?

Of course! I am always looking for this type of information, which I think most of manufacturing America is more than willing to hide from us...I will share, and share, and share!

Melanie - Great! If you would go to my "Contact Me" button on my right hand sidebar and send me your mailing address, I'll get the book off to you first of this coming week.

(My Contact button was not working but my computer guru daughter was kind enough to put it back into service for me! I think. I hope. No, really, it should work now.)
