With Apologies . . .

It's not fair that any of you should have this awful picture of us inflicted upon you even one more time, but I had to show you the Valentine's Day card we got from our daughter this morning.

Across the top it says, "And you wonder why I turned out the way I did?"

Underneath the picture reads: "Happy Valentine's Day 2012 to my parental unit."

Then the last line is, "It takes a village . . . even if all the residents have escaped from the lunatic asylum!"

Ah yes, a sentimental card I will treasure forever!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU!

P.S. My Valentine (aka Papa Pea) fixed breakfast for me this morning AND did the dishes afterwards! Wa-HOO!

What a great card for you to treasure! Aren't kids the best!

Awwww so cute. And breakfast too? What a lucky gal.

Wendy - Yep, kids are the best . . . once they're out of those stressful, angst-ridden teen years! ;o}

Jane - I knew I was possibly subjecting myself to all kinds of regret when I realized she could get her hands on that photo. What's next?

I am lucky. The breakfast was so hardy that I don't think I'm gonna want to eat until dinner tonight! (Do you think that was a hint that I don't normally serve him enough?)

That is SUCH a great card! Yes, a nutty but oh, so, wonderful and talented Pea Family.

Your daughter has a TERRIFIC sense of humor! What a great Valentine's card for you and Papa Pea...and wow, breakfast and clean-up....now that is special indeed! By the way - Happy Valentine's Day greetings to you!

What a treasure your wonderful child is! Humor is a gift you know. Thanks for sharing. I love it.

Mama Pea said...

JJ - It's one I'll be sure to save, no doubt about it!

Susan - Okay, care to specify which one of us is nutty, which is wonderful, and which is talented?? (Do I get to choose?)

That girl of yours knows just how to come up with the BESTEST of cards! An instant classic!

Mama Pea said...

Lisa - Yes, she does have a great sense of humor. A little whacky, but great!

Nancy - Sometimes it's hard to keep that sense of humor going, but it sure does help most all situations, doesn't it? Thanks for the nice words about our little girl. Except for the bad characteristics she inherited from her parents, she is pretty wonderful!

Carolyn Renee - She's ALWAYS made the bestest homemade cards. She also has a line of "funny" handmade photographic note cards she's developed. How she thinks of some of the captions, I have no idea!

Nothing better than a man who cooks and cleans up after himself. That Papa Pea is a keeper.
Love that card! LOL!
Happy Valentines Day to both of you.

Do you know I brag about you 2 to my friends and such, today I was telling my sister Diana in Brainerd who is your age. She thinks your great too, but her hubby isn't so bad his-self-he had to make money for the family after the paper mill closed in Brainered, he is so good with his hands. He completely lifted his house off the foundation and put a basement in. he does all the cabinetry his-self-he used to do the sign painting for donnybrook-the raceway in Brainerd, what he is working on now is his covered bridge on there other property near Brainerd it is just like the bridge in "Beetltejuice"happy valentines day to the peas

Sparkless - Thanks! The surprise breakfast, etc. was all the more appreciated this morning as it was the first morning I got my rusty-duster out for a daily power walk to try to get shaped up a little. I came back into the house to the wonderful aroma of bacon frying! Mmmm-yum!

judy - Well, thanks so much but I really don't think we're much to brag about. You, and all that you're dealing with, are the one we all admire! You sure have to give someone like your brother-in-law who lost his job credit for not sitting and crying about it. Sounds as though he's a very talented guy and is doing everything he can to make it through this tough period.

Looks to me like your daughter is a chip off the old block(s)!!! What characters you all are! That card gave me my biggest laugh for today. Tell her "Thanks" for me. The day my husband makes me breakfast will be the day I check my life insurance policy to see if I am more valuable dead than alive. jk But it would be nice to be treated to that some day. Oh well, maybe next husband!!! also jk He does a lot just not meals.

Erin - Happy Valentine's Day to all four (plus Sprocket and Marley!) of you waaaay out there on the East Coast! Miss you.

The Weekend Homesteader - I'm gonna have to remember to do no more pictures like that. I know this one is gonna come back to haunt me!

Rea - She has more imagination than most anyone I know! Happy V's Day to you, too.

Karen L. - Well, that's why the breakfast today was such a nice treat. My hubby doesn't cook either! He has a little trouble warming up soup that I leave for him if I'm gone! His dad cooked and his two brothers cooked. One still does . . . a LOT! Good thing he does so much other stuff around here!

PS, is it just coincidence that on Valentine's Day evening my word verification is nobra?

Mama Pea said...

Mama Tea - Yes, she IS a keeper. (How would we manage to get rid of her anyway? Hahahaha!)

Lori - If you ask me, the end of ANY day is the time to take off the bra!
