I Might Need Help . . .

Papa Pea and I both flopped into bed last night at 10:30 which was later than it should have been since we'd both been wide awake and going since 4 a.m. yesterday morning. I was last to get in bed, turned off the light and asked him a question. I think I remember him mumbling something that sounded like, "Too tired to talk . . . "

Fast forward to 12:35 a.m. when I woke to find I was still wearing my reading glasses. And I hadn't even been reading before falling asleep. I did a quick check to see if I might still have my gardening shoes on (I didn't) and promptly fell back asleep.

A little too fast off the mark, would you say? That's what happens when you cram two days-worth of work into one! As long as your gardening shoes don't end up in the fridge, I think you will be okay.

LOL!!!By the end of the summer you'll be up to speed and adjusted to your work load and being outside a lot. Spring is always like that, too much to do and too little time and energy to do it all.
I hope you had a great rest and are ready to tackle your chores for the day. You two put an entirely new spin on retirement.

Get some rest or you might end up putting dishes away in the fridge too-like I do-I will wake up and" say who in sam hell put that frying pan in the fridge " I'll hear "only you gramma "

HA! That's why I sleep in sweatpants and a tshirt, I just roll out of bed right out to the garden, now maybe I'll add my glasses to the mix and I'll really be ready to go!

Dr. Momi - Tired? Or just getting spacey??

Susan - How 'bout putting ice cream in a kitchen drawer? Who? Moi? Nuh-uh, I NEVER did anything like that!

Sparkless - Hubby and I constantly joke about how nice it will be when we "retire" and start to take it easy. But you know, no one is forcing us to do what we do. We operate on the principle that it's better to wear out than to rust out!

judy - Little faux pas like that aren't because we're going crazy; we're just on overload.

Erin - Keep your trowel under your pillow, too. ;o}

Oh boy. All tuckered out you two are. Did you get any those seeds sown today? So glad the bird missed your beer the other night, that could have been quite unpleasant if you missed the deposit and took a swig. E-E-E-W-W. ;)

HA! Well it's better than waking up on the toliet, eh?

And who hasn't put something where it doesn't belong? Too many long hours and brain cell activity loss. Hehee...you crack me up!

The good news was that it was at least Papa Pea in the bed. Otherwise that could be a bit harder to explain.

Haha, I've been known to do that.

Too funny! And in the winter there is too little to do. Oh, for that perfect "just enough" !

I'm surprised that you even remember what time it was when you did go to bed!

Kelly - I was afraid somebody would ask. Nope, I didn't get any seeds sown today. Very frustrating day. I know I got things done, things that had to get done, but they were just not the things I wanted to get done. :o\

APG - Mostly brain cell activity loss, I'm afraid!

Jane - You got that one right, Girlie!

meemsnyc - I've been know to fall asleep with glasses on while reading in bed MANY nights but never when I hadn't even picked up a book. Should I worry?

Sue - The old "Happy Medium." Sooo elusive!

Yvette - I almost always note what time it is when I/we crawl into bed. And most of the time wish it was two hours earlier!

That's funny. Don't forget to pace yourself now...

LindaCO - Pace myself? Lately, I seem to have two speeds: Full speed ahead and Stopped!
