Just A Love Tap From Mother Nature

We got only 2-3" of snow . . . which is a lot less than the 6 or 9" predicted, so we're counting ourselves lucky. Mother Nature was kind to us. Nary a flake in the past two hours so maybe the storm has gone elsewhere?

You can see my raised beds that were totally uncovered with no snow in sight . . . until they received this overnight blanket. But sure coulda' been worse!

Chickie Mama - So glad to hear you only got around 4". With your 4-1/2 mile winter "driveway" being in the poor shape (washing out, folks!) it is, you didn't need a foot of snow on it. As far as the 3-7" more still coming today . . . eeeek.

Guess who got 6"? It's stopped now, and I think that might be it for now. Don't worry, it'll all melt tomorrow. :)

APG - Thank you! We're getting a little more falling snow this afternoon, but the temp is 36 degrees so I can't see it accumulating much. Good. :o}

odiie - That's a promise? That it will melt tomorrow? I'm holding you to that, Missy.

I just checked the weather before I came here, and was surprised to see they had changed it from rain to snow. It's been so warm though
(50 degrees) that I don't think it will stick.
I spent the better part of the day transplanting 49,476,235 basil plants. Need some?
:D
You're lucky you don't live nearby. I'd do a drop off!!

Sue - Ummm . . . and just who was it that started all those basil plants?? Believe me, if I had somewhere to keep them alive and healthy until I could transplant them outside in, oh say, two months(!) at which time our weather may have settled, I'd take a bunch of 'em!

Bummer, snow just when you want to go out and start the spring cleanup. but, as you said, it could have been worse. We got what you got in rain. Been at it all day. I have been curled up with a good book by the fire all day long. Love those lazy days and making time for a good read. Bet you snow will be melted in no time. It sure is pretty.

Lorie - Not sure right now how fast the snow is going to melt. The forecast for the coming week is not looking very warm at all!
