I got this in an e-mail yesterday morning from a good friend of mine and just couldn't keep myself from sharing it with all of you.
This is what she wrote:

I am passing this on to you because it definitely works, and we could all use a little more calmness in our lives. By following simple advice heard on the Dr. Phil show, you too can find inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, "The way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started and have never finished."
So, I looked around my house to see all the things I've started and hadn't finished, and before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of white zinfandel, a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, a package of Oreos, the remainder of my old Prozac prescription, the rest of the cheesecake, some Doritos, a box of chocolates, and a half bottle of scotch.
You have no idea how freaking good I feel right now. Pass this on to those who you think might be in need of inner peace.

Hope this gives you a chuckle to start your day. (Big grin.)

Hahh!!!! That's my kind of work day.
This is some advice that I can definitely get behind! Thanks for the laugh - I needed it!
I could do some damage with method of attaining inner peace, lol.
I am so gonna go look for something to 'finish'...thanks! It's gonna be a GREAT day! :)
You had me going...what perfect advice. I will go in search of calmness when I get home tonight.
p.s. Do you and Chicken Mama see the same gorgeous sunsets?
HAHAHAHA!! That's great!! Thanks for the laugh - it is most definitely welcomed!!
I was expecting you to come up with unfinished craft projects ... Hahahahaha!
But I like this much better!
Yvette
Oh, that is priceless! Love it! I'll have to share that one :)
Jane - Would sure get it off to a roaring start, wouldn't it? But I cringe to think what that kind of a binge would do to my intestines! ;o)
Jen - You're welcome! I got a real chuckle when I first read it.
Kelly - Maybe we should all "go for it" now and then. We might be better off. ;o) Well, maybe not.
APG - Ha! We want a list of all you manage to "finish" by the end of the day!
Susan - Her new blog header photo was taken a few days before I snapped mine. Hers included the gorgeous lake which makes it more spectacular, I think. November up here seems to give us some unbelievable sunsets. Always has. Go figure.
Teri - Glad it tickled your funny bone!
Yvette - Oh, I have PLENTY of those! Wanna compare?? :o)
Have any unfinished PIES around???
Jen - Funny. Very funny!
Erin - I had a feeling this would appeal to your sense of humor!!
I just loved this! And, yes, the thought is nice, but I've learned from experience---no matter how good it tastes NOW, there is always a later that comes and kicks me in the rear! Acid reflux. Ugh. But, maybe just that 1/2 pint of Ben and Jerry's.......
I just spewed a nice mouthful of Cabernet upon my monitor. LOL... that is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time.
I just talked with my girlfriend in MN and she said the freeze is finally there. Stay warm.
Sue - A later that comes and kicks you in the butt? Heck, when I overindulge like that, it comes and hangs on my butt! And refuses to move. Forever.
Di - Sorry 'bout that good swig of cabernet! Even though we've had two hard freezes the last several days have felt more like spring than early winter. But I know it's gonna hit with a vengeance one of these days! Come on with it. I'm ready for snow!
Oh, my, that is way too funny! I started to get a little anxious to begin with, because really, who has time to finish everything around the house? Well, except those bags of oreos. That's pretty easy. Thanks for following my blog! I've added you to my list of ones to follow. Looking forward to reading more!

Lori - Yeah, I know! If I had to finish everything unfinished item in and around the house, I have a feeling working through all that would NOT bring calmness! ;o)
