This is no doubt not the brightest thing I've chosen to do smack-dab in the midst of the garden canning/preserving season, but today we're tearing apart our bedroom where my desk and office area is situated.
I just got a new desk! A lovely wooden model with file cabinet to match. Wa-hoo!
My old desk pictured above is going to our daughter's new office she's in the process of setting up in town.
The new bedroom arrangement here in our home will still contain my desk area. I so want to get it out of the bedroom, but that's in the plans for a ways down the road and won't happen for a while yet. For now we are completely rearranging the positioning of everything in the bedroom so it will all be complete chaos for the day . . . possibly longer.
If you don't hear from me for a few days, you'll know my dear husband is stuck underneath the house in the cramped crawl space trying to reroute phone lines and such to get me hooked up on the opposite side of the room.
Okay, let's get at it!

Well, it was a relief to know this 'good-bye' was only temporary! You had me going there for a while. A new work space will recharge your creative juices! Not to mention give you an excuse not to weed....
I'm so glad we're only saying goodbye to a desk! ;)
Goodness! That'll take a couple days for sure. Nice of the hubby to re-route the wiring for you. Good luck this weekend. :>)
Oh, okay Erin! Ooops, thought you were me for a sec! Three cheers for starting random winter projects in the summer, I do it all the time :)
Good luck!!! I feel your pain...we might be reverting back to the kids having separate bedrooms, which means mine will be in the livingroom again...lots of moving furniture and stuff hehe
And YAYYY for me as I write ON said desk at this very moment! There's nothing but an ill-behaving laptop on it, but it's here . . . in my new office! (But why do I think that the new one is not yet assembled & up @ Mom & Dad's?!)
P.S. Stay tuned for an overdue post of mine later this evening (I hope) which will detail the trevails of finally starting up one's own business in her first-ever official office in town . . . only to have her computer (nay, TWO computers!) go belly-up.
Hey you better get up and running soon, your daughter has hijacked your blog! LOL, can't wait to see pics of your new space Chicken Mama!
Susan - I didn't phrase that very well, did I? I meant it as a good-bye to my old desk!
Patty - I think I need to learn how to write if I'm gonna keep blogging, huh?
Conny - The "in the crawl space" work went better than we expected . . . thankfully!
Erin - The desk I'd been looking at went on sale so the time to get it was NOW regardless of all the other busyness going on.
Stephanie - Sure hope you can work something out so you don't have to end up bunking in the livingroom! (What moms don't end up doing for the kids!)
Chickie Mama - Treat that old clunker of a desk with respect now. It's got a lot of good years left in it.
