This Must Be Winter, Eh?

Holy Batman. The wind just won't stop. Got about 6" more snow in the last 24 hours or so. Our temp has been hovering between 0 degrees and the high teens. Below zero would be a heckuva lot worse, but the high winds are making the wind chill factor brutal. Roy just came in for a short break from some outside chores to warm his hands; his heaviest mitts with liners aren't doing the trick this morning. Eight inches or more snow forecast for this weekend. A real winter for a change . . . ya gotta love it! (Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal hanging on to the Nanny Berry tree outside my window here are puffed up to about the size of small owls.)
