It's machine pieced and hand quilted, and measures 21-1/2" square.
I debated for a long time what small block to use as a border around this gorgeous colorful leaf fabric I wanted to showcase. Then it hit me. Well, of course, what would be better than the Flying Geese block? Simple and yet appropriate.
When I change my summer decorations to the fall ones (if I ever get around to it), this new piece will hang in our bathroom in this spot.

Wisps of Words...
Thank you for starting my day off on a happy note! What a beautiful design!
ReplyDeletewisps of words - I thought you'd appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteSusan - What a nice thing to say! Thank you. We all need happy notes morning, noon or night . . . especially because of the memories of this day in history.
That is beautiful! I love the vibrant colors.
ReplyDeleteI always love your color combinations. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks lovely. Like the hand quilting. I find it like therapy when I do it. Great job!!! xo
ReplyDeleteDianna - Thank you very much. I do tend to go with the more vivid or vibrant colors. Although I've made many baby quilts using a bit more tamed down colors!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth - Thank you so much. What a nice thing to say!
Lynne - Oh, for sure, quilting of most any kind is therapy for me. That's when I do my best thinking!
That is one beautiful piece you have created. I'm up early today, and will most likely be crocheting until I have the mental energy to get my day started.
ReplyDeleteKristina - Thank you! I woke up at 4 a.m. today (arrrgh), couldn't get back to sleep and went out to the couch thinking I'd do some handwork but was too tired to try. So I read for an hour and a half! :o\
ReplyDeletelove your leaf wall hanging!!!
ReplyDeleteJudyk2310 - Thank you, and thanks for commenting!
ReplyDeleteYou are quite the comedian, ha! That wall hanging is really beautiful. Phil
ReplyDeleteSandra - Thank you for your nice words about this small wall hanging. And thank you for commenting!
ReplyDeletePhil - Thanks much! That Batman joke has been in our family for a long time. It's not uncommon for someone to say, "I'm going to the batroom for a couple of minutes to talk to the bats." Kinda quirky, I know, but a lot of family jokes are!
Thank you for stopping over and leaving a comment, I appreciate it so. Playing pretend, I like you would play with Barbie Dolls into to my early teen years. Such nice memories.
ReplyDeleteFaith - You're welcome! My doll playing was (way) before Barbie came on the scene, but I did have a doll that stood about 12-14" tall with hair you could comb and style which I did so much that it started to fall out and my mom sent it away to get a new head and hair!
