Between her two jobs, tomorrow is her only day off in a string of eleven or twelve, so she didn't feel she had the time to spend shopping for and then preparing the meal she had originally planned.
So what is she serving?
Tacos.
Sounds good to me! Anytime I get to eat anyone else's cooking but my own, it's a treat. The other folks she's invited are also just fine with the menu. A little merlot, a little pinot grigio, a little zinfandel, the tacos with all the trimmings . . . all will be just hunky-dory!
I made some frosted sugar cookie eggs this afternoon so everyone would have a cookie or two in their Easter basket.
My style of decorating with frosting can only be described as "rustic." But the cookie recipe is good as is the frosting, so I don't usually have too many complaints.
I might, of course, if Martha Stewart should stop by. But I don't think she'd ever go for tacos for Easter Dinner anyway.
Hey, I would eat tacos anytime. Pile on the cilantro and lime. But maybe margaritas instead of merlot. Heck, it don't matter. It will be a good old time. Now, as far as Martha is concerned...just sit her in the corner with a paper craft and give her one of those delicious cookies.

I love your rustic style, that gave me a good giggle, I guess my style is more of a...rugged rustic! Tacos are superb, especially with your varieties of red wines to drink! Enjoy your Easter, I'm making a pork tenderloin for my bf, turbot fillets for me, both with a Grand Marnier glaze and good ol' mashed taters!

Well then, Martha can just eat someplace else if she is so picky. LOL We had 7 layer Mexican dip for Easter - it is a meal in itself - and of course cookies and sweets for dessert. I like your cookie decorating idea - might give that a try next year - if I can remember it until then.

DeleteYes, because you raise chickens and eggs, you could use the egg cookie cutter whenever you wanted! I do have a tradition of making them every Easter, for sure.
