Who knew you were supposed to have special potholders for each season and holiday. Those potholders are lovely. But now I have to go get fresh ones for spring or I'll feel out of fashion.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of the potholders my husbands mom used to make except her's always burned quickly because she used the wrong type of fabrics for them. We called them "made to burn, potholders". LOL!

ReplyDeleteThe Weekend Homesteader - Why is it that we let our potholders get so gosh-awful looking before we replace them? I guess we just think of them as "work horses" but it's so nice to have pretty things in the kitchen, don't you think? And mine are all washable so if you get some glop on them . . . just throw them in the washing machine!
DeleteI tend to save new potholders just because they're so pretty and fresh looking. Bright oranges, yellows and greens would be fun for summer.

ReplyDeleteMy sister and I went to a quilt show this past weekend, and I bought a potholder kit with some crazy chicken fabric. I just couldn't pass it up. Maybe tonight I'll get out my trusty Featherweight and sew them up. :)
