Still Snowing

It's 8 p.m. and the snow is still coming down.

We have to shovel a path across the deck before Zoey the Wonder Dog will cross it.

The bare boards were almost covered again before she came back in from a quick potty stop. I think we've gotten around 5" of new snow thus far. The temp is in the high 20s so the snow is sticking to everything. It's gonna be a winter wonderland out there in the morning.

  1. I wish I could send my children to you for the day - I'm sure they would wish for that too! Just think of the snow forts, snow men, sledding... Maybe I'd actually get them to sleep before 10pm!!!

  2. I know you are tired of it, but I envy you. We actually have snow forecast here, but doubtful it will stick. Lyndsey wants a snow day sooo bad! And so do I!

  4. Gosh, and I was bemoaning our return to cold weather. Nothing like what you've got though!

  5. We are getting a bit of snow too but nothing as wonderful as what you are getting. I'd like one more good snowfall to enjoy before the end of winter.

  6. Well, I guess this means we must start watching the weather here, as you seem to "share" your snows with us-gee, thank you, not.
    :D

  7. Poor Zoey, can't even get a pee in before she gets snowed out. Perhaps she would like you to put an awning in while your remodeling. At least you got your errands run yesterday.

  9. Jen - The kids would have a ball in all this snow. Maybe we could even get them to shovel a small spot in the pond for skating!

Ruth - No-no-no, we're not tired of the snow! We're both winter/snow lovers and are so happy to be getting adequate amounts of it this year. (It prolongs our wintertime/indoors time for things like quilting, reading, etc.) We used to look forward to snow days when hubby was teaching but then the last several years of his career, the powers-that-be decided that teachers were required to be IN SCHOOL on snow days. *^#$@!

Leigh - The snow is so gorgeous today though. Looks like pictures you see of Colorado with all the trees coated.

  10. Sparkless - It's actually been quite a while since our last snow before this so it was very welcomed.

Sue - I predict you won't sleep at all the night before you leave on your warm weather vacation!

Jane - Yup, poor Zoey indeed. I do feel sorry for the old gal. She just can't take the cold weather this winter. 'Course, she's just skin and bones so has no fat whatsoever to keep her warm. Down jacket and booties next.

Erin - It is absolutely gorgeous! The wind has finally gone elsewhere. Wish you were here.
