Ever since I made the crocheted rug and plopped it down in front of the rocker at the end of my tiny kitchen area, someone has assumed it was made just for her.
First we noticed that Zoey the Wonder Dog chose to position her bony little butt on it while sitting and waiting expectantly for her dinner every night. Now it seems it's also a good place to curl up and keep half an ear/eye on me while I'm working in the kitchen.
"Will ya stop with the pictures, Mom? I'm trying to get a snooze here!"

AWWW what a cutie cute cute! And I was under the impression that everything that was made around here WAS for the dogs. You didn't get the memo?
Isn't she the cutest thing? And she has such good taste! As soon a something comfortable appears around here, there is a pile of fur on it.
That's so cute! Bet it's comfy.
well it IS perfect for her :) Tell Zoey I'm on her side! I have a feeling Marley & Sprocket are going to get little girly quilts to lay on pretty soon, perfect for me to practice on!
Jane - They really do think that way, don't they? I guess I can see why she needs a soft rug to lie on . . . I mean she only has three bona fide dog beds in various locations in our small house!
Susan - Such good instincts they possess!
memmsnyc - I'm wondering if I need to make a duplicate rug so her routine isn't interrupted when I'm washing this one?
Erin - Zoey has more than one quilt that has been relegated as a cover for one of her beds. A perfect way to repurpose ones that just don't turn out as you thought they would!
That is sweet. I can totally tell she would rather you quit taking pictures of her! She just has that "look" about her!
Ruth - Doesn't she though? At first it was, "What?" which quickly turned into "Is there a reason you're sticking that camera in my face?"
I love the rug,I think zoey does too! Blessings jane
I like soft things for my old bones too!! But, I also want soft and warm blankets.
Such a cute picture.

Perfect fit, I'd say it was as if it was custom made.
On my post about the Fruit Garden plans, you said to let you know if I found a short season sunflower. I finally did---Burpee Aztec Gold. It is 6-7 ft tall and matures in only 70 days!! Woohoo. Produces 11 inch heads, excellent for snacks or bird food. Sounds like we have a winner! Thought I'd pass this along, as I know you have the short season too!
What do you mean??? Of course you made it for her!!
~~Lori
Jane2 - Thanks to both of you! ;o)
Yvette - Are you suggesting I should make blankie to cover her with? ;o)
Sue - Burpee Aztec Gold. Got it! Thank you SO much for passing along that info. We'll get mature sunflower seeds here yet!!
Lori - How silly of me to have forgotten that! ;o)
I always crack up when I see pictures of that pooch! I want to put barrets in her hair! Can I dress her up too?
APG - Chicken Mama has a great desire to do the barrette thing to Zoey, too!
