It's Hard to Believe But . . .
. . . I actually have my computer back again! The two whole weeks I was without it felt more like two months. What a lesson in how much we rely on computers. (And I'm not sure whether that dependence is good . . . or really, really bad.)
Now that I have the ability to blog again (and, oh, how I missed it!), I don't know where to begin. Where do I start after my forced hiatus? I've lost my flow. I've written many blog posts in my head in the past two weeks, but they withered there (or fell out) because I knew they'd never live to see the "publish" button engaged.
I can't begin to tell you what we've been through getting me back up and running. Nor would it be interesting to do so. So let's just put all that behind and rest assured we're in the process of getting me a back-up computer installed (asap) with all my info on it so it will be sitting at the ready should I crash again.
But you know I didn't crash, rather just my computer. My husband even said a couple of times during these past two weeks that he was proud of me for handling this awful, hateful, terrible, beastly situation as stoically as I did. Obviously, he missed those three or four times after he was asleep that I crept down into the basement, banged my head repeatedly against the cement wall and cried hysterically for a couple of hours.
Wow, now that I've gotten going here again, and the thoughts are starting to flow from my cerebellum to the keyboard, don't be surprised if I post a couple/few times a day for a while. (What a great way to become like that neighbor who won't take a hint and keeps popping in too frequently, eh? I may lose "Followers" rather than gaining any more.)
Gotta go now to cut and package for the freezer a 6 pound block of mozzarella cheese I picked up with my special order at the co-op this morning. (I feel so inadequate saying I "bought" cheese when so many of you talented bloggers are into cheese making . . . and I'm not. It's on my list, just not close enough to the top apparently.)
I'll sign off with this picture of the gorgeous volunteer lupines (just about at the end of their glory) growing in a wide, wide swath on the hillside behind our wood working area. Mother Nature provides beauty we can hardly improve upon, doesn't she?

So good to 'see' you again! My blog read has just not been the same. Welcome back (and lovely lupines!)
Susan
Oh my gosh - I'm so happy to see you are back. I have been checking each day this week - matter of fact, I had already looked once earlier this morning and no news was there. Great surprise this time when I hit your icon on my toolbar! The Lupines are beautiful - thanks for sharing. Have a blessed rest of the week and glad you are getting backup - I was having withdrawal with my morning coffee!
Welcome back! I missed you!
I'm so glad you are back!!!! I have really missed your blogs. Yay!
Yeah Mama's Home! We missed you! I' look forward to those 2-3 posts a day. I'd say you handled this down time better than I would!
Welcome back! It's so great to hear from you. You're one of my favourite homesteading/blogging inspirations :) And BTW -- those volunteer lupines are stunning!
Welcome back!!! You were missed!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you! You've made me feel so good. I knew I missed all of you one heckuva a lot, but didn't know if anyone was missing me. I may go bonkers trying to catch up on everything!
It DID seem like 2 months! So glad you are back! I am posting quick not to use up my phone battery - off the grid tonight, hurricane like storms early this year, my garden looks flattened, trees down all over the road, its a mess. But the fact that I can get on Facebook and blog is kind of warped don't you think? LOL Just wanted to say welcome back, I look forward to catching up as soon as my power is back on.
Hi, Erin - Gosh, you have really had the violent weather this past year, haven't you? If you're not buried under three feet of snow, you're getting flattened by hurricanes. Stay safe and I hope normalcy (but what's that anymore?) returns soon.
