As Sweet Sue will remind me, it's poor man's fertilizer. Sigh.
Could be worse.

About Me
I live with my husband on a small homestead in Northern Minnesota. Our daughter currently lives in a small cabin in the woods not too far from us.
Our place is located outside a small town and a two and a half hour's drive from the nearest big city. Trips to the city are infrequent, well-planned, and exhausting!
We currently raise chickens and have hives of honey bees. Raising some of our meat and most of our fruits and vegetables is a priority for us; so, along with our birds for meat and eggs, we have fruit trees, berry patches and a huge vegetable garden.
Quilting is my passion, and I could happily spend each day in my quilt studio if I weren't happily spending each day out in the garden. Good thing we have winters up here; Mother Nature helps keep my life balanced.

Wow! I can only imagine. Think this is your last little cold snap?
Oh NOOOOOO!!!!! I can't believe you got more snow!!! Thank goodness there was no precipitation in our forecast because I woke up to -6 and crunchy grass. Yes, it could be worse....I hope it's sunny soon to melt all that white "fertilizer"!!!
Well, shoot. That sure isn't what you want to see this time of year. Hope it's a one-off and goes away NOW!

Last year we had that May 15. If there was a bridge to jump off, I would have.

Laurie - Sure hope so! All this week is calling for rain/snow mix possible. THEN maybe we can have spring??
Rain - The temp remained chilly all day but I'm happy to say the snow had disappeared by noon. Good riddance! ;o}
Susan - You may hear more whining from me if the prediction for this whole week comes true! :o(

Kristina - "Snow is poor man's fertilizer." I read long ago that that was an old farmer's saying. Makes one feel a little better, eh?
Michelle - Quilting? Ha! I had a meeting this morning, a visitor this afternoon and then I spent the rest of the day trying to save my seedlings from damping off! Oh yeah, and I did our weekly laundry, too. (Just another quiet day on the ol' homestead.) ;o}
MrsDM - Don't know what area you're in but who needs snow now?? At least ours was gone by noon. How 'bout yours?

We are having a cold snap as well, but at least we have not had snow, just a severe frost which singed a lot of the newly sprouting trees, shrubs, and seedlings!
Oh no, Vera! Your frost which nipped newly sprouted trees, shrubs, and seedlings is worse than our snow. Sorry to hear that. :o(
Dang. Hard freeze with it?
Farmer Barb - No, luckily it was right at 32-33 degrees. Very wet snow and no damaging frost. Squeaked by this one!
