A Real Treat
A whole big bunch of thanks to the very sweet person who sent me this bag of wonderful Vidalia onions which arrived in the mail today.
Papa Pea and I each had one roasted as the veggie with our dinner tonight. Were they good?
YOU BETCHA'!
Thanks, dear friend!

Wow - nice gift. I've heard they are similar to the Walla Walla Onion out here in Washington - sweet and juicy.
Ooooh, someone loves you! Vidalias are the best.
JoAnn - Very sweet. Very juicy! And very tasty!
Laurie - Last night was the first time I've ever eaten A WHOLE ONION at one time. Now I know what I've missed!

Wonderful gift!! We're onion lovers here, too. We're planting Walla Walla's this year, and should have them in by sundown!
Vidalias are on the market here now. I haven't bought any yet. They are the best.
Candy onions are almost as good in my area. I didn't put any out this year but in the past I have grown them to baseball size and larger.
Mmmmmmmmm! You have a wonderful friend.
Oooooh! Nice!
Mark - Got those onions in?? Good thing all onions are actually quite nutritious, as I put them in A LOT of my cooking!
Glenda - I've never heard of Candy onions. Must be one of those varieties that only grows in the south?
I had a wonderful crop of both yellow storage onions last year (still have good ones in the basement!), but this year I'm gonna concentrate on trying to get some BIG ones to grow rather than just medium sized ones.
Sue - I've been thinking all day about that roasted onion last night. So good!
Susan - Nice, indeedy-doo!
And now this old song is stuck in my head...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYs8bIGseoI
What a nice gift to receive, and what a nice friend to have.
Mama Pea,

YUM!
Ruth - Couldn't get the youtube to pop up!!! :o(
Kristina - Yes, and this is the second year she's sent them!
Sandy - A special treat for us up here in the northern part of the country!
Oh my, that is a treat!
Leigh - I would assume Vidalias are readily available in your area? If so, enjoy!
