As predicted, more snow fell overnight.
Geese preening in the snow.
The ducks came right out (with their hats, scarves and mittens on)
also, but the chickens (so far)
were a no show.
Apple blossoms on these three
apple trees?
Nope, more like snow blossoms.
Spring will come. Eventually.
It's a sure thing.

Hubby and I just got in from a walk in the "wonderland". I have NEVER seen snow falling at that rate in the 9 years we've been here.
We were gone one hour and got FOUR inches of snow in that time. I'd be impressed---if I weren't so pissed!
Happy Spring indeed
Mama Pea, That last picture is absolutely picture perfect. Looks like a Winter Wonderland! We're going to get down to the 40s at night, this coming weekend. Unheard of in these parts! Can't put my parka away just yet ... lol.
And it'still snowing here. Sure does look like winter again. I hope temps warm up by next week. I have chicks hatching, cows calving and rabbits "kitting?".
sorry to see you have more of the white stuff, I have had lovely sunshine but there is a cold wind blowing
Pfft.
Sue - Yikes! Hope that heavy snow has stopped by now. If not, should we send the St. Bernards??
DFW - It was a very wet snow so coated every branch bending them low. Perfect snowman making weather. (Bah!) ;o}
Stay warm in your part of the country where these low temps in April are not usual!
odiie - One of our adult geese was starting to sit on a nest but seems to have abandoned it and with these low temps . . . I just don't know. We've been having snow on and off all day, too.
Dawn - No sun here (yet) today, but still a little melting going on. Spring? What spring??
Susan - Couldn't have said it better myself. :o(
It's so beautiful. I can't imagine a world where you get to see such beauty for so long. I say that, living in the south with mild temps. But, it might be different, if I lived in your world. I kinda doubt it.
Pssst....found a Currier and Ives on Etsy. Just have to find the right frame now. Thanks!
Laurie - Truly, we wouldn't live here if we didn't love the winter and snow so much. (I did, however, lust over your kayaking pictures in your last post!)
Great that you found the Curries & Ives print. Persistence pays!!
LOL!!!
It stopped and now warmed to 37 (!!!!!) and is crashing off the roof as I write this.
We're up to 13 inches so far this week.
Please stop sending the damn fertilizer.
Thank you.
Sue - Ooooh, gettin' kinda touchy about this whole thing, aren't cha! ;o}
Remember . . . "April showers (okay, blizzards) bring May flowers . . . "
At the place where our daughter is house sitting, they got about twice as much as we did and she couldn't get out of the driveway with her little car so she had to borrow her friend's car (they told her to use it if she needed it) to make it out. Fun, fun, fun!
Mama Pea,
Now winter coverall's for your ducks???
Stay warm, I hope your apple tree's will be fine and produce apples come spring up there.
Sandy - We didn't have a good apple years last year, so we're hoping for a good one this year. Seems it kinda goes like that . . . a good year every other year.
If this weather of ours doesn't start warming up I may have to start knitting sweaters for the poultry!
Your winters seem to be much longer than ours, but then again we are to get more snow this weekend (blah).
Kristina - Are winters ARE so much longer than yours! :o] Good thing we like winter, huh? More overnight snow forecast for us.
