I tell ya --- this gardening business. I don't think I'll ever figure it out.
Remember my bed of green pepper plants that have been mysteriously dying, one by one? (Another one kicked the bucket just yesterday.)
Well, the few that remain are producing peppers.
And what lovely peppers they are!
If all the plants had remained healthy and produced, it might have been downright scary.

Wow! Those look great!
Good Lord, they're ginormous! Lol!
Just enough for stuffed peppers for you & PapaPea!
Such an odd year. I rarely get more than a couple of them and this year---literally drowning in them. You've got some beauties there----are they destined for the freezer or are ya stuffing those bad boys?
Peppers havent done so well here but I am drowning in cucumbers, your peppers look gorgeous :-)
Kristina - There were some of the nicest peppers I've ever grown!
Laurie - Yep, that's a good word for them! :o}
Carolyn - I could never have eaten even half of one of those big ones stuffed! My husband, on the other hand . . . we call him "Ol' Hollow Leg."
Sue - I chopped them up for use during the winter when I need a green pepper.
Warning: I am on my way to steal all those peppers you're drowning in so I can make Stuffed Green Peppers for the freezer. Just sayin'.
Dawn - Thank you! Isn't it so strange how one crop will do better than fantastic one year, and diddly-squat the next??
For some reason we haven't figured out yet, year after year hot peppers of any sort do OK in our garden but Bell peppers grown a nice looking mini-plant and produce almost zilcho. Odd....
The peppers you have look pretty good!
Those are some humongous peppers! I am sure you would manage to find something to do with a truckload of them....
Mark - Gosh, that is a mystery. You would think all varieties of peppers would have similar requirements. Peppers like to grow in kinda crowded conditions . . . they like to touch each other. I wonder if that would help your sweet peppers? Planting them closer together. Unless you already do that. Then I'm at a loss as to what to suggest. :o/
Susan - You know I'd make a double/triple/quadruple batch of stuffed peppers for the freezer. I found a package of them from last year at the bottom of the freezer this weekend and when I served them, Papa Pea went on and on about how much he likes them. Gonna be a sad winter around here if I don't locate some for stuffing!
Green peppers do not like hot hot weather. Mine always wanted to die out during the dog days. Maybe planting them together would shade them enough so they would grow fruit. I have so much to learn still.
born2late - And each and every year Mother Nature likes to change things up and give us new challenges when it comes to growing our food! Good thing we gardeners have a sense of humor, right? :o}
