Ha! Methinks I may have been too vocal about
our "spring time" temperatures
in my blog post yesterday.
Last night's low? Three degrees.
Okay. That's more like our typical
January thermometer readings.
High for today?
Eleven degrees.
Tomorrow?
High of twenty-six degrees
with a 70% chance of snow.
Yay, yay, yay!
Need rain? Sunshine?
Want snow? Higher temps?
Just give me a call.
Apparently I can summon up
whatever you want just by being cranky.

Maybe you can summon up some warm temps for us, ha ha!
I'd like some normal winter temps with snow but no bitter cold please. Send that warm rainy weather back where it belongs. I live in Canada for goodness sakes, it's supposed to be cold and snowy here and we all live in igloos and run around on dog sleds. Can't do that without the snow!
Would you PLEASE "crank" up some sunshine for us - we have had 3" of rain this past week and I fear my typing is going to deteriorate because I'm growing webs on my fingers and toes.
I'm actually OK with winter as long it becomes 'winter' in season and stays 'winter' all winter long. Then (and only then) is it time for 'spring'. Waffling back and forth between "freeze your nose hairs" and "don't need a jacket" weather between December and February is what gets me down. Unseasonably anything is a drag in my book.

Sparkless - Honestly, I've always been surprised that your weather (you live in Canada for goodness sakes!) is so mild and snowless in the winter. What's with that?
JoAnn - Now YOU are gonna have a problem with those webbed fingers and toes! We've had so little sunshine this past month it's not even funny. I'm beginning to think it doesn't shine on this part of the world anymore. :o(
Mark - You've got it, fella! I feel the same way. Lately we never know if we should fire up the wood stove (too many nights of sleeping too warm) or leave the long johns in the dresser drawers!
LOL. Where would we be without a sense of humor!
No snow here .... just wet dog day after day, I am so ready to whine about being hot. With the fog comes bad air quality soon burning in fireplaces or wood stoves ....grrrrr, and I now have a nice stack of split oak firewood.
Wish being cranky worked for me, We really need snow for our water table.

So, do you think you could conjour up a reasonable snow fall, as opposed to the 2+ feet we are supposed to get? Can you???? Pretty please????
Down here in the Banana Belt, we hit 22 yesterday and should see 36 today with above freezing temps for another few days. It feels like it's been spring most of the winter. Although next weekend calls for some seasonal temps. I'm enjoying it. The wooly bears were right.

Tombstone Livestock - I know you know it, but that bad air quality is not good for anybody! Again, you're more adaptable than I am. I couldn't take your heat. How 'bout if I send you a day of our zero temps to kinda clear the air out by you? (Sorry, but pun intended.)
Michelle - We're getting snow today. About 4" so far but it's all welcomed because, like you, we will have a very dry, not-so-nice spring if we don't get a lot of snow yet this winter.
Lisa - I've been doing some hand quilting (on the kitchen table) but am planning on spending time in my quilt studio/room at the machine this week. Hubby was in there yesterday replacing a fluorescent ceiling bulb that went kaput and he stood looking around and remarked what a nice room I had there! You betcha, Bub!

odiie - And for us up here near the tundra, the next ten days call for cold, cold, cold. Couldn't we meet somewhere in the middle? Getting some much needed snow today. Yippee!
Okay, we honestly need rain here on the Oregon coast and snow up in the mountains in Oregon. Please take care of that for us. It was 65 this weekend, beautiful to work in, but makes the summer drought and fire danger a very scary situation.
I've been tempting fate by saying winter is over!

Ruth - I know! When we don't get enough snow during a winter's season, we face forest fire danger in the spring also. Let's hope both our areas get that much needed precipitation before spring!
