Doesn't he look like a big, hairy road-killed squirrel? Also, didn't we do a great job picking out floor tile to coordinate with his coloring?
In the past couple of weeks, he's tagged this as his favorite little nook for an inside snooze here at our house. Notice his head is almost under the wood stove. Won't be too long before he gives up this spot though because even in coldest winter time, he's way too warm inside and seeks out the coolest spot in the house.Tucker's a very happy, easy-going dog and has made a great adjustment after losing his lifetime companion, Maisy, earlier this summer. Matter of fact, I think I'd go so far as to say he really likes all the attention he's been getting for himself!

Aww he looks like a real sweetie. Our big orange cat likes to lay just like that on her belly with her legs out behind her. It looks so funny.
My grand-dog Hank lays like that, too! My son calls him, "Frog Dog." Your Tucker sounds like a real sweetie.

What a sweetie. Only a dog could make laying on the floor look comfy. My bones just ache looking at that-LOL!
And I'm sure he's not a spoiled granddog. I'm sure that have your loving attention after the loss of his pal has helped make the transition to single 'child' an easy and happy one. I wish my joints were that flexible....
I mean "having" your loving attention. Not quite through my first cup of coffee -- sorry.
We've always preferred bigger dogs for ourselves but I gotta admit this little no-legged-runt has just the best personality!
Sue - As a person who has never been able (even as a young kid) to sit cross-legged on the floor (I think I'm the most un-limber person on earth), I can relate to your achy bones when looking at this picture of Tucker!
Susan - Nope, he's not spoiled here at our house. We tend to ignore him completely. (Ahem.)
Flexible joints? Ha! None here, m'dear. But I think as long as our strong muscles hold out, we'll be just fine.
Susan - Not having even made my morning latte yet, I should not be at the computer sending ANYTHING out over the air waves!

Our dogs sleep like that too, we always call it "chicken legs" or "superman" when the arms are straight out too LOL
