Last night Chicken Mama brought over the labels for my spice jars she had printed up. Sure am glad she volunteered to make them for me. They're one heckuva lot classier than the simple names I would have printed out and taped onto the jars.
Here's the dear girl set up cutting the labels to just the right size.
I stuck the labels on the jars and covered each label with a strip of Contact paper so it would stay in better condition for a longer time in case I grab a jar with a wet or sticky hand while cooking. (Bound to happen in my kitchen.)
I love the pinecone motif on the labels.
This afternoon I filled all the jars and arranged them on the shelves in what I think will be the most convenient spots. I still have room for three more jars so I'll have Chicken Mama print up three more labels for spices I don't use a lot but will still enjoy having in the rack.
Sure is fun getting these little things done in the kitchen. Oh! I finally sorted through all my cook books yesterday afternoon. I have to be honest and admit there are almost half of them that I haven't used in years. I've designated Thursday nights for the next few months to concentrate on looking through the neglected books and deciding if I should really hang on to them or give them away.

Those labels look wonderful and the spice jars all set up in the spice rack looks really pretty. That kitchen is coming together nicely.
Sometimes getting those "little" jobs done is very satisfying :)
Very nice...what a lovely addition to the "new" kitchen.
Wow, fancy labels to go with your new kitchen. I love them!
ABSOLUTELY adorable!!! I LOVE them! I used to have tiny jars that were cute too. Then I ended up with 6 children and now I for most of mine, pint jars aren't enough. I buy spices in bulk from Azure Standard! So it's pints and quarts for me. Yours are adorable though!!
Those look so nice. I wish I could get my daughters to create some labels for my soaps and cheeses. They are much more talented than I.
Great job to both of you, looks fabulous!
You're one lucky gal to have such a creative and talented daughter!(and scallopy shelves-let's not forget those!!)
Those labels are beautiful.
And now I must sneak up there and steal that PERFECT spice rack. At least we know it will look good in my house (same paint)
Ooo, those are beautiful! What a great job done.

Now your kitchen is PERFECT. I love the typeface she/you chose as well. How nice to have everything so clearly marked.
They look great! Love the pinecones!
those are the nicest spice jars and you guys made them yourself s--sooo jealous
To All of You Lovely Commentators -
Thank you so much for your kind words. Believe me, if Chicken Mama hadn't stepped in and offered me these classy labels (and her work in printing them up) my little ol' spice rack would have a much different look! Now if my clone would just step in and do a great big bunch of yummy, nutritious cooking using all those fresh herbs and spices . . . ;o}
Mama Pea, it's beautiful! What a delightful detail for your kitchen. And huzzah for Chicken Mama! Great job.
Leigh - I'm enjoying just looking at them!
Mama Pea - those are beautiful! These delightfully labelled jars set off your charming spice rack perfectly. Speaking of daughters.... yours is one to be most proud of too.
