Da Sink

I've used the sink all day today and am happy to report . . . I love it!

This is my first goose neck "high" faucet and it's working out great. The mixer handle is on the left of the faucet, then comes the spray first on the right. The thingie in the far right hole is a hand soap dispenser but that will be replaced with the faucet for our reverse osmosis water filter system when Papa Pea gets a chance to get that hooked back up.

The lower view . . . not so nice yet. The red bucket is for one small drip we had from one of the drains last night but it seems to have sealed itself. We need to lay a piece of vinyl on the floor which will be good if any water ever does drip or otherwise get under there. I need to paint the cabinet framing yellow (which you can see is still the old white) and get the new pine doors made, polyed and installed and that area will start to look much better.

It is JUST BEAUTIFUL. I know you must be thrilled.
Wanna have a little fun--use that nice sprayer to spray Papa Pea when he walks by. Then tell him JANE and ERIN said to do it!!!
LOL

Did I just say that?
I must be getting tired.......

Jane - Double hooray and yippee! Thanks.

Erin - Boy, I'll second that one!

Sue - You are bad. You are just bad. (What's put you in your playful little mood?)

I'll Call You Jane - That's me . . . simple. And I try to be tasteful . . . but don't always succeed! ;o}

APG - I am going to give it a little appreciative talk and thank it for sealing its own leak! Okay, I'll pucker up, bend over and kiss it, too.

Ohhhh that is one pretty sink and faucet. Glad to hear that drip sealed itself up. It must have heard that Papa Pea was on the job.

Sparkless - Papa Pea was on the job and in no mood for drips!!

judy - Thanks, ma'am. I've been bending over so much lately I think I've got the motion down pat!!

Stephanie - The coloration of the sink is such that I can't tell when it's dirty! Is that good or bad?

Oh, beautiful! You're going to love that high faucet. We got one when we did the remodel. I wasn't sure when we picked it out but it is so great. I can fill my canner in the sink rather than the bathtub now! It never fit under the faucet before.

Lovely! Nothing quite like a high faucet and a deep sink (I have an annoyingly shallow sink at present!)

Judy - Ya know, being able to fill big pots was one of the reasons I wanted that high faucet. Good to have you confirm my thinking was correct. Thanks!

Patty - Yes, almost done. Almost done. Almost done . . . :o}

Lori - We've got company coming today for 10 days so things will kinda come to a halt for that time, but I told hubby last night that I am so eager for the last work on the kitchen to be done, getting everything back in order and being able to actually do some COOKING in my new kitchen! That means a lot to me.

Jen - This new sink is 1-1/2" deeper than my old one and it feels different . . . but I actually like it better.

I **LOVE** your faucet! That is what I want whenever we get around to adding on and expanding our kitchen. It looks beautiful!

Mama Pea said...

BrokenRoadFarm - Well, thank you very much. I was a little unsure of the high goose neck faucet . . . I mean would the water SPLASH! in the sink from way up high at that height? Nope, it doesn't! I can hardly wait to fill one of my really big pots which I couldn't do with my low down midget faucet!

Plumbing, whew. You never know what it may do when it's first settling in. The sink is lovely. And I love your countertops. That's something I haven't thought about yet.

I love the gooseneck faucet, we changed our sink out a couple of years ago....no more fighting to get tall pots wet. :) It looks great, a job well done!!

Leigh - I've never had a counter top this dark in coloring. But I'm liking it just fine. NOTHING shows on it and I can't decide if that's good or bad. Either I'll constantly have a dirty counter top because I can't see the flack on it or I'll wear it out wiping it constantly to make sure I've got everything!

Kelly - I'm kinda amazed the difference the goose neck faucet makes . . . and how much I love it!
