I don't think there is one of us brave enough to come between you and your carmel corn from the sounds of it!
Do you have chipmunk cheeks??
APG - No, but I do have an intense desire to go brush my teeth.
I'll dare it! I love carmel corn. Now I've just added another thing to my list of goodies to cook.
I'll take it too. And now that I am thinking about it, I really want it. Boy I hate cleaning the caramel pan, but I will suffer through it. Thanks Mama pea.
Sparkless - Come on and get it! There's a bowl for you on the kitchen table as we speak. :o)
Jane - I got only half way through (three double batches) the amount I needed to fill all the tins today before running out of one of the ingredients for the 'caramel.' Knowing I'll finish it tomorrow, I put the roasting pan I make it in out on the unheated porch. That way I DON'T HAVE TO WASH IT before I'm entirely done!
HA! I am imagining you brushing caramel corn crumbs off your quilting squares as you work!
Erin - You got that right! But it was worth it . . . num, num, nummy!
Gosh! I've been gone all day and just checked my blog. Is there anymore carmel corn left???? I'll be right over and take some from you! LOL. I just got home with my grandkids, they'll be here for a couple of days, I think I need to make some for them and me.
I spent the day sleeping off the start of the flu. So now, I'm up at midnight.....again staring at food.....and it's not bothering me at all today! I think I found my new diet plan.......Sickness!
I made cookies and sampled. Somehow I still missed trying the banana cookies and will have to get to that today, lol. Humm, caramel corn sounds gooood...
Alla - Yes, there are tins full left. But they are all under lock and key because they are for giving and anyone getting even near them will be prosecuted. (That include me.)
Sounds as if your next few days will be full of Christmas cheer and busy!
Sue - Oh, darn. NOT a good time of year to be fighting a flu bug! Yep, you're probably losing pounds . . . but, ugh, at what price. :o(
Becky - Congrats on your cookie baking. I'll trade ya caramel corn for cookies.
Would there be any chance that you could post your recipe for Caramel Corn in between samplings? If not, I will be there in 24 hours to "help" you with your addiction. If only... I happen to have a very weak spot for caramel corn and, if it's very, very good, it does indeed make your teeth ache.
I was just wondering...how long did it take you to floss today? :o)
You are a blogging fool, I haven't been on a couple days and missed all kinds of stuff!
Been busy baking today, since last year I baked nada! (pooped out, not making the corn ~ sounds really yummy though.
For the holidays we all would love to see your lovely faces. Of course your pic Chicken Mama posted from your wedding day is quite beautiful.
Stay warm!
Susan - In my blabber-mouth way, I did post the Caramel Corn recipe back in November, 2008. (But you can still come.) Scroll down to the Search box in my right hand side bar and enter 'Caramel Corn.' Of the posts that will pop up, the recipe is in the November 16, 2008 post. Enjoy!
APG - Very funny. (Why would I floss when I'm still sampling??)
Jill - You're not the first to call me a fool! ;o) Blogging not only gives me a record of what's going on when, but also (for some weird reason) seems to keep me organized and centered. So I keep at it!
I have a feeling there will be pictures coming over the holidays! Be prepared to be frightened.
LOL, Don't you just hate it when caramel corn makes such a pest of itself? :)
Leigh - It's like a siren's song!
Yup, that happens to me every time I make carmel corn. It truly is addicting. I always eat so much my jaw hurts....but so worth it. Need some dental floss?
Lorie - Dental floss and duct tape to keep my mouth shut so I don't eat more! :o)
Your recipe please???
Mart - You can find the particulars in an old blog post (November 16, 2008) of mine. Scroll down on the right hand column of my blog page and enter 'Caramel Corn' in the Search box. That should take you to a listing that will include the November 16, 2008, posting. Enjoy!
