Ewwww! That just looks . . . gross. Blech. Sorry, Mom. It especially looks strange and (what's another word for gross?) when seen in small icon form on my blog roll!
Chicken Mama - Hahahaha! Spoken as a child whose parents ruined her by raising her as a vegetarian for the first 15 years of her life! [We apologize. ;o)]
Seriously? Y'all were Vegans? I thought it violated a law or something to live in MN and be a vegan! - Or living in WI and not drinking milk, LOL! I love good bacon, we just don't make it often. Once I tasted farm bacon it's hard for me to get the grocery store stuff so when we run out of our bulk farm order, I'm out of luck til the next time!
I tried to send you an email, but it wouldn't go through. Tried three times.
Where did you find out how to do the Facebook Fan Page thingie? I have a fan page for my jewelry business and I can't find half the things I see other people doing with their fan pages! So jealous.
Hi, Karen Sue - I'm with you on the bacon vs. sausage issue. My hubby kinda leans toward sausage so I do make that a bit for breakfast but will often just make enough for him. He's more a protein type and I'm definitely more a carbohydrate type!
I live with my husband on a small homestead in Northern Minnesota. Our daughter currently lives in a small cabin in the woods not too far from us.
Our place is located outside a small town and a two and a half hour's drive from the nearest big city. Trips to the city are infrequent, well-planned, and exhausting!
We currently raise chickens and have hives of honey bees. Raising some of our meat and most of our fruits and vegetables is a priority for us; so, along with our birds for meat and eggs, we have fruit trees, berry patches and a huge vegetable garden.
Quilting is my passion, and I could happily spend each day in my quilt studio if I weren't happily spending each day out in the garden. Good thing we have winters up here; Mother Nature helps keep my life balanced.
My Occupation(s)
Home and Household Manager (Highly-Skilled Domestic Engineer)

Mother of Grown Child (I Am So Proud of Her)
Fanatic Gardener (So Many Seeds, So Little Summer)
Passionate Quilter (I Am Obsessed)
EX-Restaurant Owner (Thank Heavens!)

I have a bacon weakness, too. Sausage I can usually take it or leave it, but give me bacon and I can't say NO!

If you have the bacon, I've got the time (for a BLT!) I promise to wash my hands before I fondle your quilts :)
